18.01.2022 Online Disability Consultation Project Newcastle Junior School is seeking parents to participate in a one off online focus group. Across the state parents are being asked to contribute to a consultation project. This is a chance for you to have your say regarding school culture and belonging. We want to hear about your child's positive experiences at school and the things you think your school is doing well to support your child. It may also be that your child has struggled ...at school. It may be that your child and/or your family doesn't feel part of your school community. There may be things that get in the way of your child joining in and learning at school. We want to hear your ideas about how this could be improved. What's working and what's not working for students living with a disability in NSW public schools? We want to gather your insights into inclusive policies and practices in your child's school. The session will take place online on Monday 14th September from 12.30pm till 2pm. If you are interested please let the school know ASAP as places are limited. Thanks

Newcastle Junior School is in Category 2 in a bushfire prone area.... This is not the highest category but it does require the school to be bush fire ready and have a plan in place. In the event of an emergency Junior School will use Skoolbag, Facebook or SMS to provide parents/carers with information and updates. Please read the one page document attached.
