24.01.2022 Some of our children are a little unsure of all the adults around them wearing face masks, so we thought we would make some. We hoped this would help make them less scary and open up some discussion on why we have to wear them.

24.01.2022 A very exciting parcel came in the post today! Our new book 'Our Home, Our Heartbeat' arrived! This book celebrates past and present Indigenous identities, as well as emerging generations! As an added bonus, the book was written by local man Adam Briggs!

24.01.2022 Some holiday fun this morning. We made cupcakes and damper. We did some yoga whilst we waited for the damper to cook on the fire pit. We decorated our cup cakes, and pampered ourselves by getting our nails done.

21.01.2022 2021 VACANCIES! With some of our family day care children heading off to school next year we have new vacancies opening up in 2021! We have one place available on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays next year. This place would be best suited to a child under 2.5 years but we are open to conversations about 3-4 year olds also. 07.01.2022 This week we have spent some time giving our play kitchen a makeover. Our 3 piece set was purchased from Vinnies about 4 years ago for only $5 as it was broken, weathered and falling apart. A little sanding, replacing the backs and some new paint made all the difference!! Over the last 4 years our little kitchen has had many paint jobs and it was time for another one. Everleigh was very keen to get in and help with the painting yesterday and excited to help us set it up inside today! Staying home certainly isnt stopping the fun at Back 2 Basics!!

04.01.2022 Our sandpit recieved some love this week! Fresh sand and a new cover means there's lots more fun to be had outside!!

04.01.2022 A friendly reminder that everyone over 12 years must wear a mask or face covering when leaving your home from tomorrow! Please do the right thing and keep us all safe!!

03.01.2022 We are still open as normal Our plan is to stay open until the government tells us otherwise (which will hopefully be sooner rather then later) We are taking extra precautions, washing hands and wiping surfaces more frequently! Please remember to keep your child at home if they are unwell to minimise the spread of germs (and lets face it, if you're not feeling 100% home is the place you'd want to be). We hope that everyone is keeping safe and well and we look forward to getting back to normality soon
