23.01.2022 You mean youre not taking Magnesium before bed?? Besides the fact that Magnesium has been linked to a number of benefits including fighting inflammation, relieving constipation and lowering blood pressure...it may also be used to aid sleep problems. Magnesium aims to assist your body and brain to relax by activating the parasympathetic nervous system! It regulates the hormone melatonin, the hormone responsible for sleep-wake cycles in your body.... 1ml of good quality magnesium before bed could be all the difference between a poor sleep and a great nights sleep. Tossing and turning all night? Dont wait until its too late to get your health sorted. Ask your Chiropractor at your next visit and start working towards a full 8 hours

Water, good old H2O Begin your morning with a nice big glass before you do anything. Why? We dehydrate overnight and dehydration may be mistaken for fatigue! Salmon (or fatty fish) Rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, which could help aid in memory and mental performance. Not a fishy person? Egg yolk is also high in the Omega 3 fatty acid. ... Leafy Greens They are full of antioxidants, B vitamins and folic acid which all have brain boosting benefits...Now do you get why your parents always told you to eat your greens?! Dark Chocolate YEESSSS! Research has shown that it may help to boost brain function, mood and immunity, BUT, not the sugary stuff - we're talking the 70% cacao organic goodness. Green Tea Fantastic alternative to coffee - yes it contains caffeine, but is more subtle. Green tea also contains amino acid which may help improve mental alertness and focus. Nuts & Seeds Many are full of antioxidants and amino acids. Great brain good and could have weight loss benefits. Need more guidance? Ask your Chiro the next time you're in.

05.01.2022 What a great time to learn how to multi task Why not use this time at home to reduce your stress levels by trying these two steps? 1. Lay on your posture pole (posture poles are a long foam half rollers that help reduce the winding up part of nervous system that controls our fight/flight) 2. Listen to a meditation app (our team loves the @smilingmind app for meditation) ... We often encourage our patients to try meditation, and using an app while correcting your posture for 15 mins a day is the perfect relaxation combo, especially during stressful times in life. Interested in learning more about the dangers of the fight/flight mode? Heres a newsletter article we wrote about it a short while ago: https://www.backinline.com.au/stress-how-your-fight-or-fli/

05.01.2022 What is an activator? Ready, set, click! The activator is a small, hand held instrument that Chiropractors use to deliver a gentle impulse force to a targeted point (sounds like a click!). We may use it as an alternate approach to the manual form of an adjustment or manipulation. The goal is still the same - to improve motion at a specific point.

04.01.2022 How stressed are you? Stress is so much more than a busy schedule, deadlines at work, or a day that just doesn’t go your way. I can’t tell you how many times we’ve asked patients about their stress levels and they say don’t have a lot of stress Once we ask them a few more questions we find that they are under enormous amounts of stress, but they perceive it as their "normal." ... To have no stress would be awesome, but unfortunately in today’s world it’s just not possible. There are three different kinds of stress - We refer to them as the 3 T’s: Toxins - Traumas - Thoughts At some point, your body has to say Enough Already! That’s when we start to experience the not-so-pleasant symptoms. Headaches, anxiety, insomnia, etc. In children it’s colic, reflux, hyperactivity, ear infections, constant colds The symptoms are our bodies' way of forcing us to listen! Your body is talking (maybe even screaming)... Are you listening???
