To help prevent these injuries from occurring, our physios are now offering ergonomic assessments via Telehealth! Some common indicators that you may need an ergonomic assessment include: Hand or wrist pain... Stiff shoulders Headaches Sore lower back Tight hips Your assessment will be tailored to your job and personal requirements. Whatever role you play within your company, we will assess accordingly. 06.01.2022 As promised in our previous post, check out the tips below to ensure you're staying as healthy as possible whilst working from home: Move as often as possible! Taking regular breaks is important - try to get up from your desk and take a walk or do some quick stretches! It is helpful if you pre-plan your breaks or set an alarm to remind yourself to get up and move If you spend a lot of time on the phone, ensure you use headphones or loudspeaker so you aren't constantly... holding the phone to your ear If you're working on a laptop try to use an external keyboard/mouse and sit the laptop up at an appropriate height - the top third of the screen should be in your direct line of sight Find the optimal place in your home to work - avoid working from the floor, couch, kitchen bench or your bed! If you can, find a place that can remain set up as your designated work station so it's ready for you each day Stay hydrated! Keeping up your water intake helps to optimise focus and productivity
