15.01.2022 INFORMATION & APPEAL FOR SUPPORT The Bhutanese Community in Perth is shocked and deeply saddened by the news of sudden demise of one of our Bhutanese community ...members here in Western Australia on 21.02.2021. Late Thinley Phuntsho, age 36 son of Mr. Kinley and Mrs. Namgay Zam (both farmers) is from Lingmukha, Punkha. He was eldest from his family shouldering the responsibilities of supporting his parents and 3 younger siblings back in Bhutan. He has just completed his Master in Human Resources from ECU and applied for his Post Graduate VISA. The team lead by Khenpo Tshering Wangchuk & ABPI President visited the home of Late Thinley on 21st night and expressed our deep sorrows and heartfelt condolences to family members and friends on behalf of all Bhutanese living in Perth. All maters related repatriation process, prayer ceremonies, insurance claim processes and support appeal process were sorted. Late Thinley’s family and friends with support from ABPI is in the process to repatriate his body to Bhutan. Considering the initial assessment, it seems high cost incurred in sending body to Bhutan and other associated costs will not get covered by his insurance (based on T&C). Association of Bhutanese in Perth Incorporated (ABPI) would like to appeal to all our compassionate Bhutanese in Western Australia to come forward and offer SEMSO/Donation to the bereaved family members. SEMSO/Donation period will remain open till 22nd March 2021. Kindly offer your SEMSO/Donations in the following account details: Account Name: Association of Bhutanese in Perth Inc.
