21.01.2022 It’s been a while we know. We have been asked what our next review will be. This time it’s Mister Truong’s in Brunswick West. We have been meaning to try this establishment out for a while now and finally we’ve had a Banh Mi from here. The verdict as expected has been a positive one. Definitely is as tasty as it’s Western Suburbs counterparts but not tastier. All ‘S in terms of taste and traditional Banh Mi ingredients. The added bonus is that they toast their Banh Mi’s whi...ch gives it that warm touch. As usual we sampled the crispy pork roll. Marinated well, although a bit skimpy on crackling which in our opinion just ties in the whole Banh Mi together with its texture. Was expecting something a little bit more but it fell a little short of our expectations. And probably the most disappointing part was the cost. Nobody should be paying $8 for a Banh Mi. If you are, this page is not for you. I suggest you go check out Roll’d, Subway or Dinner by Heston Blumenthal!! 6/10 (Mostly because of price, otherwise would have been 8/10) Warning: This place has breached the Banh Mi Code of Practice of charging overpriced Banh Mi’s!!
21.01.2022 It’s been a while since we’ve visited a Banh Mi establishment outside of the West. But if there’s any place deserving of our attention, we can’t go past Bun Bun in Springvale!!! Best value for money at only $5- even the premium range crispy pork Banh Mi- with extras is still ONLY $5!! Add $2 for 5X chicken spring rolls as a side and your week is DONE!! BUN BUN it’s the NHU LAN of the Eastern Suburbs!!
