18.01.2022 What is Positive Behaviour for Learning? Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is a whole-school framework that we use in our school to promote positive behaviour. PBL helps us to develop a safe and supportive learning environment, build positive relationships and improve student learning outcomes. Our school community has worked together to establish simple, clear and explicit expectations for behaviour. Student behaviour improves when students know what is expected of th...em and when good behaviour is recognised. Our students are explicitly taught the behaviours they need for success at school and beyond. Our school takes a proactive, preventative approach, ensuring that all students receive the appropriate level of support to help them to succeed. Our PBL team constantly works to ensure that all students benefit and identified students receive additional support when needed. Find out more about PBL by watching this video https://youtu.be/hLM2lxTOMio or visit the website https://behaviour.education.qld.gov.au//positive-behaviour

03.01.2022 Social Distancing reminder: We ask that all parent/ carers of all of our students follow our guidelines for dropping off and picking up students. Parents/ carers are permitted to wait on the grassed area at front (not on the artificial grass near play equipment) and back of school (back oval area) and should not be near equipment, waiting on pathways or approaching staff. Entry for Prep and Year 1 drop off and pick up is at the front of the school through the small gate and e...xit through the large gate. Adults should not be walking through the school from back to front to collect Prep and Year 1 students. Entry is only from the front of the school. We encourage parents to drop at the gate and observe their child walking down to the supervised areas. In this way adults on the grounds are minimised. Parents of students in Years 2-6 should drop at the gate or 2 minute zone and go and wait only on the grassed areas in the afternoon as described above if needed for safety. We are reviewing pick up procedures now students and families are familiar with expectations to minimise adults on grounds even further. An email will be sent tomorrow with full details. Access to our administration building is from the front of the school only. We thank everyone for their ongoing support with this. See more
