24.01.2022 Last week was World Glaucoma Week, and to mark this important topic, we created a series called Look Out For Your Loved Ones. Glaucoma is an illness that generally affects people over 50, so weve been profiling partnerships between young people and their parents and grandparents who work together creatively, exploring how important it is to look out for one another. In the last instalment of this series we meet father and son duo Dwayne and Bert Rowsell - click the link in bio to learn how these two kiwi blokes have supported each other through life and reconnected through the art of DIY. https://baileynelson.com.au//look-out-for-your-loved-ones/

21.01.2022 Our country has been devastated by bushfires for months now, with our brave fire and rescue services working tirelessly to save our communities, habitats and wildlife across our nation. On Sunday 12th January we will be donating 100% of our in store and online profits across Australia and New Zealand to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund. We all know people, either directly or indirectly, who have been affected by this event. Your contribution... will make an impact, whether you donate something big or small to help with the relief. On behalf of every team member at Bailey Nelson, our thoughts are with those affected by this tragedy. If you are in a position to offer your support, you can also donate directly via this link here: https://fundraise.redcross.org.au/drr See more

18.01.2022 This week is World Glaucoma Week, and to mark this important topic, weve created a series called Look Out For Your Loved Ones. Glaucoma is an illness that generally affects people over 50, so weve been profiling partnerships between young people and their parents and grandparents who work together creatively, exploring how important it is to look out for one another. Our fourth installment features Will Cuming, better known as LANKS, songwriter, producer and multi-instrume...ntalist living in Sydney. Will's grandma, Valda is an 89-year-old visual artist from Melbourne, who in her own words, "can't stop being creative'. Valda has created artwork for LANKS EPs, singles and merchandise; transcending the average grandparental relationship. We caught up with the pair at Valda's beautiful Brighton home to chat about their unique bond and creative connection. Its important to look out for your own eye health, but its equally as vital to check in with friends and family over 50 to ensure they are having regular eye checks. https://baileynelson.com.au//look-out-for-your-loved-ones/

17.01.2022 Our George Street store was transformed into a live music venue for the first instalment of our After Hours series.

17.01.2022 Meet Sian Redgrave; a cook, food stylist and recipe developer from Sydney. In light of the new Candy Red collection, we thought Sian would be the perfect person to showcase the rangeconsidering her love of deep, rich colours and flavours. Read our interview with Sian, and maybe have a go at a few of her Candy-Red colour inspired recipes (that we were lucky enough to try, not to rub it in). But we promise we wont hold it against you if they dont turn out looking quite like hers.

17.01.2022 The third feature in our Look After Your Loved One series looks at Charlie and Mieke De Deyne from Mas & Miek Ceramic House. We visited their beautiful light-filled studio to ask the pair about their inspiring work and relationship. This week is World Glaucoma Week, and to mark this important occasion, weve created this series where we profile partnerships between loved ones who work together creatively, exploring how important it is to look out for one another. Find out mor...e about their work and relationship via the link in our bio. 01.01.2022 Our Chapel Street store holds a special place in our hearts. For us, it was one of the first stores we opened and it was in one of our favourite streets in Melbourne. Five years later it was time to give our Chapel Street store a bit of a facelift, bring it up-to-date and build in our latest optometry services. We consider ourselves locals now, so to help with the store renovations, we enlisted renowned Melbourne artist Tom Gerrard. Inspired by our Look Different ethos, Tom created a two-storey high mural featuring characterful faces sporting sunnies. Check out his artwork and our re-opening party - https://baileynelson.com.au/blogs/journal/tom-gerrard
