Please email: [email protected] re: planning application P219152 or call Lucy Guows directly at 9780 5204. The plans are available to view in the shire until May 9th. Here is my submission:... My name is Shannon Bendall and I strongly oppose the proposed Supermarket on the corner of Peake st. I am an owner of Bakehouse'38 Restaurant and guesthouse (18 O'Brien st , cnr of Peake st). This is a very dangerous corner. It is already bad with trucks coming through to use the service laneway to the shops. It is a dangerous part of the highway that takes a long time to cross especially for children. This will also effect my business as the guest rooms will no longer be quiet and peaceful with the extra road noise and traffic. Most likely too I will end up with unwanted cars in my private parking. There has already been two positions nominated for a Supermarket. What happened to the Parkwater proposal? Now its just an ugly car park. Also how does this fit in with the town planning scheme? Its bad enough that the ugly service station went through. It just goes to show rules do not apply if you have money. My vote is a strong NO and I will encourage others to voice the same.
