24.01.2022 Wow we had glorious weather for our Balaklava Show with great numbers turning up today! Balaklava Show - Horse Committee wishes to thank all our hard working VOLUNTEERS who are greatly appreciated for putting up their hands to help again at this years Balaklava Agricultural Show! A Big thanks goes out to our Office Secretaries Wendy & Tania also gate keepers Reg & .... Thank you to Judges Jodee & Courtney O'Leary, Melissa Hoile, Tanya Chapman, Bronwyn Mumford and Melinda Young for giving up their free time to Judge today. Hope you all enjoyed your day, was certainly beautiful spring day for Judging. Thank you to our Ring Stewards Gail, Veronica, Stacey, Kirsty, Cathy, Amber, and Breed Stewards! Thank you to our little silent helper Brittany and Shayn, John & Rosemary doing the early shift to ensure everyone gets a park! Sorry if I have missed any names. Biggest thanks to both Ray Koch and Shayn Faehrmann who did a splendid job running the Arena and setting up early morning Thank you to our HIA & Breed Sponsors: Balaklava Racing Club, Riding Pony, Miniatures Society, Palouse Association, Standardbred Pleasure Performance Horse SA, Dilutes Ltd SA, Pinto Association, APSB SA and Landmark-Balaklava. We have rides, show bags, entertainment - the drumming monkeys, rural challenge, CFS demonstrations, animal nursery, camel and pony rides, balloon artist, face painting, henna tattoos, Ute competition, horses in action, food stalls and much much more.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions in place regarding gatherings of people, and the uncertainty going forward, the Executive Committee have decided that the Balaklava Show for 2020 will be cancelled. We look forward to a bigger and better show in 2021.
