22.01.2022 That's a wrap! It's been an amazing 5 days in Townsville. One of the things I love most about this job is the variety, I fitted saddles to 12hh ponies to 18hh warmbloods, dainty little riding ponies to chunky Percherons, for rider's from 8yo to *more mature* ladies, and fitted a range of saddles from stock saddles to jump saddles. Now it's time for me to get home and recover, ready to start organising the next trip! Thanks again to all the lovely people, both new and old friends who made this visit to Townsville so much fun.

19.01.2022 This is one of the reasons that saddle fitting is so hard! The other is that each rider also moves around just as much if not more. It's not easy to fit a fairly rigid interface between the two moving bodies that helps both to feel comfortable moving together! This is also why a saddle fitter should always watch you ride in your saddle to try to take all this movement into account as much as possible.

18.01.2022 EDITED: Holy moley you guys almost broke the internet. Over 20 forms (many with several saddles to fit) received in the 2 hrs since I wrote this post! I see I'm going to be busy!! Thank you for your support! Whilst I'm not quite back to work yet - it's definitely getting closer! I'm so excited to get back to it! I need to get an idea of the current waiting list. 16.01.2022 Thank you so much for all your ongoing support and understanding this year, it's been...unique?! I will be closing this business for January and most of February whilst the worst of the wet season passes. It is too hot, humid and hopefully wet to be saddle fitting. All those clients who have already submitted an enquiry form will be seen before I close. I will still be supplying Wintec and Arena saddles, girth, stirrups and other parts throughout the wet season so please feel free to contact me about any purchases. 13.01.2022 I'm receiving lots of enquiries about when I'm going to re-start work now that some of the restrictions are starting to ease. Unfortunately I can't keep the required 1.5m physical distance from a person when I'm fitting their saddle, and there is also the potential to pass the virus via both of us touching the saddle. My insurance would also not cover me in this situation. Until I can figure out a way to saddle fit safely and whilst abiding by the restrictions in place, and being fully insured, I cannot return to saddle fitting. Wintec saddles, girths, stirrup straps and parts are still available for purchase. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

13.01.2022 Who can guess how many saddles I've just managed to squeeze into my ute (as well as all my saddle fitting equipment and luggage)? I'm excited about getting to Townsville and making some horses and riders happy and comfortable!

13.01.2022 Thanks for all the interest in appointments in Townsville. I'm currently fully booked (including all those who have sent me inquiries and emails) and will be starting a waiting list. Provisional days and times will be sent out on Thursday by email, but I'll be in Townsville the weekend of 3rd October for 4-5 days.

It's very simple now - if I haven't received payment then I'll pass your appointment to the next person on the waiting list. 12.01.2022 ** Townsville clients** Thank you so much for your patience. I'm finally ready to start organising a trip to see you all and fit your saddles. All those that have sent me an enquiry form will receive an email at the end of this week and I will be able to finalise a date soon after that. I'm an independent saddle fitter and happy to work with all brands of English style saddles. This picture is of the range of saddles I fitted at one location this weekend (including Wintec, B...ates, Collegiate, Thorowgood and Tekna). I have a small range of saddles for test riding including Wintec, Arena, PDS and Ideal saddles, and I also work in close conjunction with the amazing ladies at Lanskeys. I can also advise on stock saddles and I'm working to get a couple of amazing suppliers on board so that I can start offering a larger range of stock saddles for those hard to fit types - you know who you are! Unfortunately I'm not able to fit western saddles at this time.

10.01.2022 I'm very excited to announce that Michelle from The Feed Shop in Gordonvale is soon going to have some Wintec saddles on display in her shop. This is so that Cairns people can go and have a look and a sit in the saddles whenever you like. Of course I'll be working closely with Michelle and her team and you are also still able to buy your saddles directly from me.

09.01.2022 Due to a cancellation I have one spare appointment for a saddle fit or equine massage this Saturday in North Cairns. After that there are no appointments for about 3-4 weeks.

09.01.2022 Whilst I'm still not able to do mobile saddle fitting, I am able to do a limited number of saddle fits at my property in Wondecla. I have a 20 x 60 sand arena that we can use, and am fully insured. I am also able to re-start mobile equine massage service as owners can keep at the required distance during these sessions. 05.01.2022 **New Prices** Thanks to my wonderful, supportive and loyal customers. I hope you are ready for a successful 2020 and that you achieve all of your horsey goals.... Unfortunately I need to put in place my first small price rise due to increased costs of fuel and supplies. These new prices are for all appointments booked from today onwards. Parts such as gullets will be charged in addition to these service prices and will be discussed at the time of the appointment. I will now require payment in advance for the appointment as I spend too much time chasing up invoices. Many thanks for your understanding and ongoing support.
