24.01.2022 Its taken almost ten years of persuasion and patience, and this year we did it! A penjor made without plastic! Its extremely difficult to do because the norm is to wrap everything in plastic bags to keep it fresher or away from hungry insects and to use raffier to tie everything on so it lasts longer. But this year we used only organic materials to make our penjor. Im so proud of my team.

Today we ask the goddess of wisdom, the arts and knowledge, Dewi Sariswati, to bless us with the knowledge to pass the tests that will be placed on all Balinese people by the Gods and demons during Galungan. Offerings to Dewi Sariswati are placed on all things that give us knowledge.
