The Australian Bureau of Statistics reported some interesting statistics in our first lockdown. occurrence of anxiety doubled!! 60% of people increased the screen time (increase of sedentary habits) ... 20% of people increased snacking more 20% decreased their physical activity levels 25% increased their physical activity levels Sadly as restrictions lift screen time and sedentary habits remained the same. Sedentary habits increase the risk of many chronic diseases and conditions. Anxiety levels decrease, but Physical Activity and Exercise help to decrease and prevent anxiety and depression. It decreases stress and makes you feel good. To decrease your risks of chronic disease like cardiovascular disease, Type 2 Diabetes, high blood pressure. 150 minutes a week of moderate physical activity or exercise is recommended. That’s 30mins a day and one of the 4 reasons to allow you to leave the house. Which statistic will you be in 6 weeks times?
