16.01.2022 Saturday's weather was to perfect not to jump in!....we headed out to explore some new dive sites! Started off with a hop into Manta Arch to say hello to the Sharks, 10 - 15 at the bottom of the arch, 15 metres vis and a still very nice 20 degrees. The sea was soooo flat around the north side of South Solitary, we jumped in and dived Archies Cave! Awesome experience! Found a very cool cave on the eastern side of the arch and got some shots of the boiler! A very rare dive inde...ed! After a slow second surface interval we jumped into a "secret" spot in "40 acres", in the middle of nowhere the reef comes within 5 metres of the surface! We had to hang live, so Al and Chris jumped in.....stacks of fish life, Al reports "More fish life than Boulder Wall on a very good day"...this is a spot that needs more exploring! A very good mornings exploring...tick! See more

16.01.2022 Another amazing weekend! Split Solitary was full of little critters on Saturday, with Nudi's galore, colourful corals and sponges, loads of Wobbe's, a rarely seen Numbray, and one of our divers got very cosy with a large peice of Seaweed..... :) South Solitary today was going OFF! 30 metres Viz and 24 degrees - perfect! Lots of Grey Nurse Sharks in the Arch this morning, and the juvenilles were getting very close and personal with the divers, affording some great photo oppurt...unities... A very acrobatic Octopus was hiding under the arch doing his morning stretches, and a couple of Lionfish were chasing each other around too! Second dive down the Boulder Wall was absolutely stunning, swimming through thick fish soup we found an Eagle Ray, Turtles of every kind, Black Cod, Blue Grouper, massive Kingfish, Trumpetfish... the lot! Finishing around the wreckage of the Gantry, noone wanted to come back to reality.. :) See more

12.01.2022 Well if you could get a picture perfect day: today was it. Beautiful sunshine with fluffy clouds and clear, blue water that was 24 degrees.... Just amazing! Manta Arch was packed with Grey Nurse Sharks both large and small, and they were so curious about us.. not shy at all! After morning tea we drifted down the north side of the South Solitary where we found that South Boulder Wall was absolutly teaming with fish of every size, shape and colour... Big Black Cod, to miniscule Nudibranchs, Giant Wobbegongs to teeny weeny Box Fish, Large schools of Kingsish to baby turtles.... we really had it all!!
