11.01.2022 Shearing season is here! It is such a BIG job and doesn’t get any easier, no matter how many years of alpaca farm you have under your belt! Thank goodness shearing is made easier with modern technology and some professional help! ... But alpacas are much more difficult to shear than sheep, and the process takes time to ensure both care for the animal and maximum value can be achieved from each fleece. Will share posts along the way, so you can all keep appraised of how the job gets done and then what we do with the previous suri alpaca fibre :) #shearingseason #alpacas
