24.01.2022 How do I get my Free Bankruptcy? 1. You get the forms and you complete them yourself. Realistically, unless paperwork is something you like and are very good at this is a terrible option. There is probably no other set of paperwork with so many complicated questions that you will ever have to complete. It probably is more complicated than your tax return. You can download the forms from the Government bankruptcy website www.afsa.gov.au 2. You can get a financial counselor to ...do it, however they will often want to try and find a solution other than bankruptcy and you may often have to wait weeks or months to get an appointment. However once again if you want it for free this is a possibility. 3. Maybe a friend or relative could do it for you. As long as they keep it quiet, as in confidential to everyone else you know this may be a good idea. On the other hand if they are going to look down on you for going bankrupt and the fact that they will always know about it and could anytime in the future tell other family or friends it may not be your best solution. 4. You could wait until a creditor bankrupts you. This is a terrible idea because you still have to complete the same paperwork anyway. They only difference now is that if you dont do it you could be committing an offence and get into big trouble. So maybe you can see why a lot of people pay to get it done. http://stressfreebankruptcy.com.au

21.01.2022 Bankruptcy and your car. Someone who goes bankrupt is allowed to keep a car valued up to $7,600.00 if owned outright. If the car is under finance and you want to keep it you will have to continue making the payments. Secondly, you would not be able to have more than $7,600.00 equity in the car during the time you are bankrupt. Most bankrupts keep their car with one way or the other.

14.01.2022 Guarantor - Say no. A mum went guarantor for her daughter on a personal loan through a bank. The daughter ran into trouble and couldnt pay. The bank called on Mum to pay. Mum couldnt pay and ended up having to go bankrupt. Kids, do not expect your parents to go guarantor, it is unfair on them as they have trouble saying no because they love you.

08.01.2022 RTD - Relationship Transmitted Debt. It is not uncommon to see somebody with a large amount of recently incurred debt. When asked how it happened they explain that they met a new partner who had a bad credit rating and that they decided to get some personal loans and credit cards. The relationship then ends fairly soon and the partner who previously had no debt is now left alone and having to pay for everything. The partner left with the debt often has no choice but to file for bankruptcy.

06.01.2022 How the wealthy think? A Dad calls in and wants to have his daughter go bankrupt. She owes about $50K. He is a moderately wealthy guy and explains it like this. " I could bail her out but she will get more debt and the cycle will repeat. The system has conditioned people to believe that borrowing money is not only good but it is necessary. The wealthy people I know only borrow money of they are going to get a tax advantage or to buy assets which they expect to increase in val...ue". " My daughter borrows money and gets credit cards and buys rubbish like clothes she doesnt need and holidays and endless entertainment spending. Then she owes a pile of money but owns nothing of value. Yet she cant see this is the road to the poor house". He figured that if she goes bankrupt now, in her early twenties, her credit will be stuffed and hopefully she learns that you can live without credit and it is actually a better and richer life. Is he right or is he a screwed up old rich dude? What do you think?

06.01.2022 In Australia around 20,000 people go Bankrupt every year. Because bankruptcy usually lasts for 3 years it can be deduced that at any point of time around 60,000 Australians are officially Bankrupt.

05.01.2022 Insurance claims or specifically where you have had a car accident and have insurance companies chasing you for money are not automatically able to be included in bankruptcy. A process of "liquidating the debt" must occur otherwise you may be declared bankrupt but not have "the debt" cleared. In this instance you must get professional advice.
