16.01.2022 Been a while, between posts. As FB keeps telling us. Two recent jobs, Storage HWU's with ruptured tanks, oldest only 11 years old. Both replaced with Rinnai B26's with a bit of a gas upgrade

15.01.2022 Customer, decided to replace old and leaking solar with 2 gas HWU. Gas line upgraded, water service re-routed and old system capped. Plus a lovely day, which is handy due to taking up roof tiles

14.01.2022 It has been a while between post, not there has not been plenty for the team to do. More of a post to calm the algorithms of Facebook, who keep heckling us. Worried it might turn aggressive. Water pressure, can be over the top in the hills. Fixed a leak for a customer in Darlington, and replaced the Pressure Reduction Valve, dropping the pressure to a far more sensible level. A PRV will eventually fail, but protects your pipes, taps and your hot water system in the mean time. By the way the bin marks where the earthworks contractor needs to re-compact. 13.01.2022 A quick oven change over, new regs and moving of the gas bottles due to regulations, and of course a restraint chain.

12.01.2022 When tracking where pipes are in the wall, nothing is more efficient than a thermal camera, when wondering how hot your fire is, in lieu of a thermal camera. Cat's make a great substitute for the toastie test.

02.01.2022 Had a pan-tastic week or two, installing water wise pans and cisterns and shower roses. 38 to be precise. And some slick looking slimeline cisterns thrown into the mix. Always pays to watch out for those leaking cisterns and taps in the hills, all adds up, feeding into those septics and leach drains.
