23.01.2022 The following Community Recognition Statement was read out to the Legislative Assembly on 20 October 2020 by Tania Mihailuk MP acknowledging the fantastic season we had despite COVID restrictions and all the new measures we had to put in place, we ended up with 3 teams being Grand Finalists, and 2 premierships. Not a bad effort for a 5 year old club! 22.01.2022 Our Under 11's team had 4 players reach an amazing milestone last week. Zane, Max, Thomas and Joel have all played 50 games for the Bankstown Bullsharks! Congratulations boys!

22.01.2022 What a season 2020 has been, there was a point we didn't even think we'd get to play it! We've played in unseasonable heat and rain so heavy the kids were swimming! Definitely an unforgettable year. We are very happy to announce that we have 3 teams going through to the Grand Finals next week. Our Under 11's and Under 12's boys have both taken out the minor premierships in their divisions. - Well done boys!... Our Under 12's Youth Girls have also qualified to play in the grand final, coming second in their division. Congratulations to our finalists and #gobullsharks!!!!

15.01.2022 Welcome to our Round 5 wrap up! All of our Bullsharks teams were at home this week which made for a long day at Kelso. Our Under 9's and 10's teams played each other this week for some friendly fun and just a little bit of competitiveness! Under 9 Orange - Player of the match was Bentley Campbell. Under 9 Blue - Players of the match were Jackson Meagher and Archer Wilson who were both on fire. ... Under 10 Orange - Welcomed a new player this week - great to have you on board Xavier! Player of the match was Ti-Alee Pitt-Compton. Under 10 Blue - Played their best game of the year. All team members played their part and gave everything they had until the final siren. Player of the match was Caden Hess. Under 11's - Played a convincing game against Wollondilly with an end score of 77 to 6, which is a role reversal of the last time these teams met. Player of the match was Antonio in his debut game for the Bullsharks. Under 12's - Played a seesawing game against Baulkham Hills Hawks with the Bullsharks boys putting in a great effort in a game that went down to the wire. The boys were beaten 44-43 but showed great fighting spirit. Huge thanks to Max, Harlan, Flynn and Antonio from the U11's who helped us out. Player of the match was George Panagis. Under 12's Youth Girls - Were slow out of the gates this week, however had an energy burst after half time and brought it home for another win of 19 to 15 against Ingleburn Magpies, who were fantastic and determined opponents. The girls remain undefeated and share first place on the competition ladder. Players of the match this week were Tarra Hine and Emma Duggan. Under 14's Youth Girls - Left nothing in the tank this week and ran hard all game to come away with a close win. Special thanks to Jess, Tarra, Emma and Holly from the U12's YG who stepped in to help. Player of the match was Jessica Eagle who was outstanding in this match. Under 18's Youth Girls - Did not get a run this week with an early forfeit from the opposing team. Looking forward to Round 6 next week! See you at training!

14.01.2022 Round 9 Wrap Up! Under 9 Orange - Put in a spirited performance against a very good Camden White at Fairfax Reserve. While things didn't always go our way the kids never gave up throughout. Player of the match was Lincoln Heslop. Under 9 Blue - Lined up against Liverpool Eagles this week and played a tough game but managed to come up with a win. Player of the match was Mustafa Abdulatif. ... Under 10 Orange - Played a strong game against Fairfield Falcons. Player of the match was Curtis Marsh. Under 10 Blue - A great game from the U10 Blues keeping a good team in the South West Tigers scoreless for the match. Highlights were Ted having his best game for the year in the midfield, Jeremy's marking and Hamza's attack on the ball. Player of the match went to Jeremy Price. Under 11's - Took on the Liverpool Eagles. The team had a convincing win. Big thank you to all of the players we borrowed from the Under 10's, you played an important role in our team today. Player of the match went to Cooper Bui. Under 12's - Another impressive win for the U12's today dominating the South West Tigers. Some impressive performances from the boys. A well deserved player of the match to Liam, who worked well moving the ball up the wing. Under 12's Youth Girls - Delivered another cracking performance in their game against the Wollondilly Redbacks. Player of the match was Jess Robertson with 3 goals scored and a red hot performance in the mids. Special mention to Jade, Ti-Alee and Alison who all played up from Under 9's and 10's. Under 14's Youth Girls - Put in a tough performance today against Parramatta. The girls kept their opposition almost scoreless for most of the game and came away with a much needed win. Thanks to Emma for playing up from the U12's YG. Player of the match went to a well deserving Leila. Under 18's Youth Girls - Played the top team in the comp and old team mate for the last game of their season. It was a hard fought battle and both teams played a very physical game but our girls never gave up and came out with the win. The final score was 36-21 and Zimra Hussain was the best on ground this week.

12.01.2022 We've been lucky to have one of our Bullsharks Dads - Paul Muldoon kindly agree to take some action shots of all of our teams over the next few weeks. First team is our Under 18's Youth Girls who are playing Division 1 in the Sydney Harbour competition. We hope you enjoy these photos of their Sunday game. We will post more this week with others to follow over the next few weeks.

11.01.2022 Well Round 4 is done, with the weather interrupting and cancelling most of our team's games, there were only 3 Bullsharks teams who got a run this week. U12's Boys - Played a great game against the South West Tigers. All players showed great team work which saw the ball moving from end to end along the field. There were plenty of good marks, great kicks and multiple goal scorers in a 60-11 win. Player of the match was Rowan Armstrong who showed one of his great goal celebrati...ons. U12YG's - The girls made the trek to Wilton to play the Wollondilly Redbacks. The sky was grey but the rain held off until the final minutes. The game was an absolute cracker which resulted in an 83-28 win for the girls, which when they were playing with minimum numbers was a fantastic result. Player of the match went to Jess Robertson, who was everywhere on the field and also scored 4 goals. Special mention to Catalina who was definitely the muddiest at the end and also scored 4 goals. U18YG's - Played a muddy match against the East Sydney Bulldogs down at Rosedale Oval. Unfortunately they did not come away with the win this week but there were serious displays of some amazing talent from our girls. Final score was 49 to 26. Woman of the match was Kiahna Davis-White who played brilliantly at fullback.

05.01.2022 Welcome to our Round 8 wrap up! Under 9 Orange - Played a tough game against a very good Ingleburn Black team. After a slow start the team played much better in the second half. Player of the match was Jake Burden. Under 9 Blue - Lined up against Ingleburn White this week. After a slow start the team clicked into gear and we controlled the game until half time. Ingleburn came back in the 3rd quarter, but we finished strongly in the final quarter. A great game by the whole ...team. Player of the match was Lachlan Robertson. Under 10 Orange - Played a good game today with the help of some of the Under 10 Blue team against Ingleburn. Player of the match was Dain Christiansen. Under 10 Blue - Played a very strong game against Ingleburn. Our team was relentless in our pressure and handled the damp and slippery ball well. The most pleasing thing was that everyone did their bit and our team work was excellent. Goal scorers were Jeremy, Declan, Alex, Charles, Hadi and Caden. Players of the match were Samantha Gifford and Charles Basha. Under 11's - Had a rematch from last week with Camden. This week we played much stronger as a team beating them with a convincing 82 to 14 win. Congratulations to the team for playing a hard game of footy. Player of the match this week goes to Salim. He went down with an incident of the ball but came back out on to the field to tackle the hardest we have seen all season. Congratulations Under 11's on a strong and fair game. Under 12's - Played a cracking game this week with a dominant performance against the Macarthur Bulldogs. Some great chat between the team throughout the game. Some first goals scored by Liam, Lucas and Tom. Player of the match was Hayden who displayed great sportsmanship today. A great effort all round. Under 12's Youth Girls - Put in a determined game against Camden on Sunday morning, keeping them scoreless for the entire game. The girls worked hard as a team and showed great sportswomanship towards their opponents. Player of the match was Emma Duggan who was unstoppable in the centre. Under 14's Youth Girls - Put in a courageous effort against Camden. The Bullsharks girls never gave in and kept Camden to their lowest score this season, despite the game not ending in their favour. Unfortunately, despite the girls and their 'never say die' attitude, there were some serious injuries that occurred during the game. The player of the match was Ashleigh Irving, who at her diminutive size took down the biggest girl on the Camden team in scene reminiscent of something from David v. Goliath. Under 18's Youth Girls - Played their first proper home game this week against the Maroubra Saints. After losing by quite a large margin last time, it was good to see the girls put in a really good game and only lose by 12 points, a testament to their improvement across the season. Best on field this week went to Mackenzie Jackson who on numerous occasions beat two opposition players to score goals!

04.01.2022 Welcome to our Round 7 wrap up! What a great round it was! Under 9 Orange - Played a very competitive game against a strong Ingleburn Grey team. The team play so well as a unit and are so much fun to watch. Player of the match was Annabelle Hartley who didn't stop running all morning. Thanks to Shane who donned to Blue Coaches tunic this week. Under 9 Blue - Had a great game today against Camden and although the scoreboard may indicate otherwise it was a very competitive ga...me. Everyone played really well but our players of the match were Rocco and Jacob who both played their best games of the season. Under 10 Orange - Another great week by U10 Orange against Ingleburn in the warm weather today. Our 2 regular Under 9 boys - Cooper and Simon came back to the grounds to play again, thank you to the boys and their parents. Player of the match was Samuel Hartley. Under 10 Blue - A great display from the U10 Blue team against Camden today. Most impressive was the big marks taken by Declan and Hamza, as well as the ferocious team tackling. Goal scores to Hamza - 4, Declan - 3, Charles - 2, Jeremy and Hadi -1 each. Players of the match today were Declan Muldoon and Allegra Ferraro. Under 11's - In a very close game against Camden our boys lost by 8 points - 40 to 48. They fought hard and displayed some excellent team work. Congratulations to Max our player of the match. Under 12's - U12's had another cracking week up against the Parramatta Lions at a very warm and sunny Kelso. After a shaky first quarter the team really pulled together to have a stunning 76-16 win. Great to have Hayden and Muhammad back playing in the team. Player of the match went to a well deserved Thaleson. Under 12's Youth Girls - Put on an awesome display this week, not only in their footy skills but also in 'sportswomanship'. The girls won convincingly, however also were happy to play the final 2 quarters for Kellyville against their own team mates. Special shout out to Mia Davie who celebrated 50 games for the Bullsharks this week. Jess Robertson also kicked her way past 50 career goals for the Bullsharks, and Holly put on the best goal celebration dance scoring her first goal this season. Goals to Emma, Catalina, Jess, Gabi, Tarra, Holly and Mia. Player of the match went to Makayla Towerton and her golden boot. Under 14's Youth Girls - The girls gave it their best today but were beaten at the end. A very hot and draining day for all. Player of the match was Ella Crossman. Under 18's Youth Girls - Very hot, sunny and dry game out at Mike Kenny Oval today for the YG18's. Very competitive first quarter however the Lightning were dominant and kicked away in the last quarter. Woman of the match this week was Rachel Simpson who played brilliantly from fullback and through the middle.

04.01.2022 Welcome to our Round 6 wrap up! We were a mix of home and away this week with some fabulous results and fun footy for all players. Under 9 Orange - Played a strong game against Camden Blue at a breezy Fairfax Reserve. Player of the match was Simon Campbell. Big congratulations to Lara Penney and Mackenzie Rake on playing their first ever footy game. Under 9 Blue - Played a competitive game with Camden this morning and everyone played well. It is great to see the team impro...ving every week and to see some of the things we are practicing at training are starting to show on the field. Player of the match was Mustafa Abdulatif, who was never far from the action today. Under 10 Orange - Played at windy Fairfax today, with a great game by the Bullsharks. Thanks to Cooper and Simon from the Under 9's for playing up. Player of the match was Lachlan Young. Under 10 Blue - Played a great game against a very physical team - Fairfield. Our team adjusted to the windy conditions much quicker than Fairfield allowing us to get off to a fast start. Player of the match was Alexander Weightman. Under 11's - Had a convincing win over Liverpool Eagles with an end score of 143 to 13. It is really good to see how much the players are learning about positions and different plays. Thanks to Alexander Weightman for playing up today. Player of the match was Harlan Bradley who had a chance to play as a forward and kicked a few goals. Under 12's - A stellar effort from the U12's this week as we celebrated Rowan's 25th game. Going in as the underdogs today, we held Penrith scoreless until the 4th quarter - securing a win of 60 to 15. A huge thank you to Gabriella and Jess and the U11's for playing up today. Player of the match was Jonah. Under 12's Youth Girls - It was a big game today for the U12's YG with a top of the table clash against Baulkham Hills Hawks - who have defeated every team in the comp by at least 60 points. The game can only be described as an epic battle and probably the best game of footy of the year, but unfortunately they were delivered their first loss of the season going down 32 to 15. Player of the match this week has been given to the whole team, every single one of these girls gave 200%. Under 14's Youth Girls - Put in a dominant performance over the Parramatta Lions today. The girls were joined by Zimra who scored the majority of the goals with a final score of 142 to 16. Player of the match was Ashleigh Irving who was brilliant, as usual. Under 18's Youth Girls - Bye.

Also as it is a home game for all teams, please help us out where you can in the canteen, on the BBQ, with field set up and pack up and as an on field helper. Many hands make light work in our Bullsharks community.
