19.01.2022 Some isolation entertainment. Some of Broadways brightest male performers (including Joshua Buscher-West, Marty Lawson, Alfie Parker Jr., Waldemar Quinones-Villanueva, Alex Ringler and Ryan Steele) perform 'The Cell Block Tango' from Chicago at "Broadway Backwards" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ziA1TGNXktY

18.01.2022 In 2017 we brought family favourite ANNIE! to the stage. With two incredible casts of orphans and a brilliant cast of adults, this production was an absolute winner with our audiences.

17.01.2022 Whilst we count down the days until we can bring our productions back to the stage again, here's another look back at one of our most spectacular productions in 2009, Miss Saigon. We were so lucky to have one of Australia's leading musical theatre choreographers, the legendary Ronnie Arnold!

16.01.2022 Let's go WAY back in time today! The year was 1960, the show "Song of Norway". The lead was a dashing young man called Reg Paul who all the girls swooned over. Thank you to Gloria Collins who was not only in this production (flashing those gorgeous legs) along with her future husband, but also sent us theses terrific pics! Gloria said:... The first pic front row from stage right - 1st girl Can't remember! 2nd girl June Pickering (my sister) 3rd girl Myself, showing a bit of leg 4th girl Joan Maudsley The two guys front centre - I think the one on stage left is Geoff Johnstone. The girl front row far stage left is his future wife Margaret. Behind Margaret is Martha Huband. Being such a long time ago only our senior members would remember these names. I hope it jogs a few pleasant memories. Of course our Margaret Thomson played Nina and my future husband, Arthur Roach, played Rickard Nordraak. Very strange that our son is called Rickard. I wonder why that was? Thank you so much Gloria for sharing this precious piece of our beloved BTC history!

13.01.2022 A huge hit with our audiences, our 2015 hysterically brilliant production of NUNSENSE had us all laughing in the aisles!

11.01.2022 Today we look back at our star studded 2014 production of 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood, a musical ‘whodunit’ which is loosely based on Charles Dickens' famous unfinished novel. This show took our audiences participation to new heights by letting them directly affect the play's outcome by voting for whomever they think is the murderer!

10.01.2022 Time for another BTC throwback! Photo 1 - Diane Wilson as Nancy in "Oliver" 1991 Photo 2 - Ian Jefferson, Beth Daly and Christopher Hamilton in "Merrily We Roll Along" 1990... Photo 3- Meghan Garrity and Michele Lansdown in "The Most Happy Fella" 1995

09.01.2022 With rehearsals on hold for the time being, we thought we'd re-visit some of those good old pre-Covid days when our theatres were alive with the sounds of wonderful song, dance and story-telling. If you have any old pics, we'd love to post them here, just email Michele at [email protected] and tell us the show and the year, along with who is in the pic (if you know!) First up in our trip down memory lane is the amazing Jodie Dalley, who played Cherry in our 2012 production of COSI.

08.01.2022 Some more pics from the archives! First picture is Margaret Thompson and Peter Calrow in our 1974 production of 'Hello Dolly'. Second picture is Glenda Wilkes as Annie in our 25th Anniversary production of 'Annie Get Your Gun'. *If you or anyone you know has any wonderful pics from our past, please let us know via the contact form on our website www.bankstowntheatrecompny.com. We'd love to add them to our archives!

08.01.2022 Due to the continuing uncertainty of the current isolation laws, we have regretfully made the decision to postpone our production of 'In The Heights'. If all continues to improve, our current plan is to stage our 2020 season in 2021. We therefore look forward to seeing you at 'The King & I' in May 2021, 'You Can't Take it With You' in August 2021 and 'In The Heights' in November 2021 (exact dates tbc).... We would like to send our members and supporters love, health and best wishes at this challenging time - here's to a great theatre-filled 2021!

05.01.2022 Back in March 2018 we presented the critically acclaimed production of DOGFIGHT, a musical with music and lyrics by Pasek & Paul and a book by Peter Duchan. It is an adaptation of Nancy Savoca's 1991 film Dogfight. Our audiences absolutely loved this moving and brilliantly performed show.
