Mr. Thorburn, by bringing in Kennett shows how incompetent the NAB is, in dealing with these historical thefts. In my meeting with Kennett, being one of the 30 or so victims, Mr Kennett did not have any understanding of the Banking Code of Practice. Mr. Kennett has now wasted, 4 months of the Victims time. If we are to believe a single word Ken Henry says to Leigh Sal...es in this interview NAB must - 1. Begin full remediation to the victims they are right now negotiationg with. 2. Make sure that Andrew Thorburn is not be given a golden handshake on his departure. In fact clawing back previous years bonuses would be a strong sign the bank is serious. 3. Previous CEO Cameron Clyne must also be held accountable. After all Throburn is now out of a job because he didnt taker seriously the issue of compensating the people Clyne profited from and reforming the culture Clyne created. 16.01.2022 This is a shocking story of how the assets of the hard working Byers family were stripped from them in a STING by both Westpac and their receiver managers. This is a story that needs to be told of how the banking industry was allowed to perpetrate this fraud. We have seen this asset stripping time and time again and it still goes on today, even after the Royal commission. Terry has written these factual events in the hope of getting the Financial Ombudsman Service to produce a positive determination. This was not the case as (FOS) gave a ridiculous determination, that it was actually Terry that put the receivers into the properties and not Westpac. All that is required is for ethical behaviour to become the norm. Bankers need to realise they dont deserve a disproportionate share of their clients and the nations wealth. The fleecing must stop.
