17.01.2022 Happy Father's Day! In these extraordinary times, we know that today may be hard for those who can't be with their loved ones in person but we hope that you ca...n still take time out today to reflect upon the important role you play in raising the next generation. One of the biggest adjustments when becoming a dad is having less time to do your own thing. Even short amounts of time to yourself, like 20 minutes to unwind, can mean the difference between being stressed and feeling OK. We hope that all dads, step-dads, grandads, foster dads and carers will take some time out today to relax and recharge

17.01.2022 ADVICE FROM YARRA VALLEY WATER WEBSITE www.yvw.com.au Drinking water advice We’ve become aware of a potential water quality issue affecting 88 suburbs due to electrical damage caused by storms overnight. These power outages have resulted in some water entering our drinking water supply system and customer taps that had not been treated to the usual standard. Power has now returned and the initial issue has been addressed, however undisinfected water is still within some are...as. If you live in the suburbs below, as a precaution we advise you to bring tap water to a rolling boil before using for drinking, brushing your teeth, food preparation, preparing baby formula, making ice or bathing infants. Until we can guarantee that the water is safe to drink again, we ask customers to boil their water. We are working closely with the Department of Health and Human Services and Melbourne Water, who own and manage Silvan Dam, to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We expect water supply to be back to normal later today (Friday 28 August). We will provide updates on this page. Our teams are working around the clock to address this issue. 08.01.2022 A circle of friends activity helps children understand personal boundaries. And understanding personal boundaries helps them know how to behave in different soc...ial situations. It can also help them recognise inappropriate behaviour in adults and other children, which is part of staying safe. Here’s a circle of friends activity that parents and children can do together. All that’s needed is a large piece of paper, pencils or felt tip pens, and some time https://raisingchildren.net.au//circle-of-friends-personal
