05.01.2022 Dear Banzai Members, Happy New Year to all our Banzai members. It's been a challenging year for everyone and we hope you have had the opportunity to rest and reconnect with loved ones over the Christmas break and end of year festivities. We are very grateful for all the support parents and students have provided us over the years and regretfully inform you all that Banzai Karate Melbourne will not be reopening in 2021. We have received a number of inquiries from many of you a...nd have given a lot of thought to 2021, the future of our Banzai Melbourne Karate club, and to its members. The safety of our small community is number one on our minds. As hirers of a community space we do not have control over all variables in our dojo environment. Due to the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 at this time, we do not feel we have the resources to implement a COVID safe plan. On a personal note, as many of you will have experienced, our working lives are also undergoing constant change to adapt to our 'new normal' and this has had an added stress to our everyday life. Therefore, at this time, we feel as though we can not dedicate the time and commitment necessary to nurture our little karatekas to their full potential. We would like to suggest an alternative arrangement for your child/ren to continue their karate education and can highly recommend another karate club in Seaford. If you are interested, please don't hesitate to contact us for more information, as Sensei Ati has many connections with other clubs who run full time dojo's. He will continue to practice his martial arts and hopes that our paths will cross again in the future. We are still available if you have any further questions, and we wish you and your families all the best for the year ahead. Kind regards, Sensei Ati and Sensei Stacey.

03.01.2022 Ten ways to reduce your risk of coronavirus 1.Wash hands often with soap and running water, for at least 20 seconds. 2.Dry with paper towel or hand dryer.... 3.Try not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth. Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you dont have a tissue cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow. 4.Isolate yourself at home if you feel sick. If you take medication, ensure you have adequate supplies. 5.Phone your GP first if you need medical attention. They will tell you what to do. 6.Continue healthy habits: exercise, drink water, get plenty of sleep, and now is the time to quit smoking. Call the Quitline 137 848. 7.Dont wear a face mask if you are well. 8.Buy an alcohol-based hand sanitiser with over 60 per cent alcohol. 9.Get the flu shot (available April). 10.Shaking hands is optional.

02.01.2022 We all are Happy @banzaikarate

01.01.2022 Dear Members. As you know, last night our Prime Minister Scott Morrison announced further widespread restrictions on social gatherings. In particular, " Gyms and indoor sporting venues" will be restricted from opening as of today. The Premier of Victoria also announced the closure of schools as of Tuesday. Under these new circumstances we have decided to bring Term 1 to a close and cancel our last class that was to be held on Thursday 26th March. Unfortunately at this time we are unable to give a definite start date for Term 2. We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed as it evolves. Banzai Karate Melbourne.
