23.01.2022 So whats the plan Pete ?!? Once the COVID 19 Activity Pause is lifted Adventurous Activities with Scouts Qld will be kicking off our reset with our annual Conference to bring everyone back on the same page. From that take off point we will provide more details on a reset Course Calendar, more details on the change over to the new Outdoor Rec Training Package, more details on the change over to the new Scouts Aust NAAF and powering on with supporting the OAS in THE Program for... 2021. So we may not be allowed OUT but your Adventurous Activity Team is busy in the background making the most of the pause so we are ready to blast forward once the Pause is lifted...... So if you need anything, have any ideas or need any support during this time reach out to us ............
23.01.2022 The 2020 Training Calendar has now been uploaded onto the Scouts Qld Training Page.... The Calendar has all the confirmed courses locked in so far and more will be added as they are finalised !!!! Please help us spread the word :)
20.01.2022 The New Australian Adventurous Activities Standards will be formally launch in the next little while. These Standards will become our benchmark in how activities will be conducted and will be linked to our QBSI Sections. Now is the chance to review the Final Drafts and gain a working knowledge of what they contain. We will have info sessions on the AAAS at next years Scout Qld AA Conference at BP Park on the 25th and 26th of July 2020 For more info now visit - https://australianaas.org.au
20.01.2022 With the release of the New Outdoor Recreation Training Package in 2020 we are holding some Action Learning Programs (ALP) for the different Pursuits. The Paddling Pursuits ALP is programmed to be held on the 1st and 2nd Feb 2020 at Karingal Campsite. This is great opportunity for Skills Members, Guides and Instructors to benchmark and be signed off with the new units.... Details on the 2020 Training Calendar and bookings can be made with the normal training application process

A chance to benchmark your skills against the brand new outdoor recreation training package units in flatwater canoe, flatwater kayak, sea kayak and SUP .. A great PD Weekend for your Logbook Not to be missed Action Learning is the focus for the program not a talk fest !!!!! More details to come

08.01.2022 2020 National Sea Kayak School !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Scouts Qld is once again happy to host the National Sea Kayak School. In 2020 we have a great program which will revolve around Paddling in the Keppel Group of Islands just off Yeppoon in Central Qld.... The Keppel's is a well kept secret paradise with some of the best Sea Kayaking Paddling in the country in the lower part of the Great Barrier Reef. The School format is Sea Kayak Level 1 - 28th Sept to 1st Oct 2020 - 33112002 Sea Kayak Level 2 - 30th Sept to 4th Oct 2020 - 33122001 Sea Kayak Guide - 28th Sept to 4th Oct 2020 - 33132001 We will be providing opportunities for Easy to Moderate and Moderate to Difficult Paddling Environments for those looking to upgrade their skills and knowledge.
