18.01.2022 It’s time to count. Did you know honey bees are not the only pollinator insects? There are many other species also on the job, but our knowledge of them is often limited. You can help by looking out for them at your place. Get to know the pollinator insects in your neighbourhood by paying attention to a flowering plant during the week of November 8 to 15.... You’re invited to watch a flowering plant for 10 minutes and submit your observations of insect visitors via the website: http://wildpollinatorcount.com. The Wild Pollinator Count is a national citizen science project that began in Albury Wodonga. Our count periods occur each year in autumn (April) and spring (November). The project aims to raise awareness of the many native species of pollinator insects, as well as build a data set of which insects are seen where and on which plants across Australia. You don’t need to be an insect expert. You don’t need fancy gear. You may be surprised by what you see.

16.01.2022 We love this idea In these challenging times, we need to be there for each other. A great way to do this, and support local businesses doing it tough, is to Takeaway Together. Pick a friend, family member, workmate or neighbour and lock in a time to share a meal together over aphone or video call.... Just because you can't eat at your favourite cafe or restaurant, doesn't mean you can't enjoy their food. With many offering no contact takeaway and delivery services you can still order your favourite meal and share it together. Share what you've done using #takeawaytogether and encourage the people in your world to do the same. . . . #TakeAwayTogether #StayConnected #BarandudaCommunityCentre #BCC #LoveYourCommunityCentre https://www.ruok.org.au/takeaway-together
