09.01.2022 After 10 years, Baranows Lounge closed its doors on December 31st for the last time. Wal has retired and moved to Cuba to live the dream. I am happy to announce... that I am currently busy working on a completely new project set to open soon: The Kilburn Opening in March 2015, The Kilburn will be bringing an extensive range of whisky, beer and cocktails to the Hawthorn area. Located at the bottom level of the iconic ‘Commercial Bank of Australia’ building, (old site of Baranows Lounge), The Kilburn will open with an offer unique to the Glenferrie Road precinct. Opening 6 nights a week, Monday-Saturday from 4pm until 3am, The Kilburn will offer events, private group tastings, late night bar food and a lively atmosphere. Heading up the team is the highly regarded, Joey TAi (prev. Golden Monkey, Brunswick Mess Hall, Albert Street Food & Wine) The site is currently undergoing a full refurbishment in readiness for the opening scheduled for March 2015.
