25.01.2022 'Ipomoea indica', Mixed media mono print. 42x32 cms. This is is the first of my monoprint series looking at the 'exotic alien's that have invaded our natural habitat.

24.01.2022 Fragmentation I. The last of this series. To create my eco prints I use the plants (or in this case, exotic aliens or 'weeds') a mordant, water and heat. (and a bit of 'hocus pocus') The image of these plants develop unusual shapes and colourings and imprint like magic onto the paper. Like in the earlier posts of my work, I am looking at the fragmentation of habitat of this plants and the subsequent impact on biodiversity.

22.01.2022 Fragments II. Eco weed print. 60 x30 cms. To enhance the feeling of fragmentation the eco printed images of 'weeds' are ripped and stitched. Stitching is a slow and meditative process and the stitch lines also represent the journey and my crossings over the land.

20.01.2022 Cropped images of photos I captured around my neighbourhood. Love the textures.

19.01.2022 'Adiantum'. Layered mono print using acrylic paint. Multi prints assembled and stitched. 40x32cms

18.01.2022 Rock Landscape I. Ink wash and pen on paper.

16.01.2022 'Elegant Exotic'. Multi Print. 44x30 cms

14.01.2022 Meroogal in South Nowra has barely changed since it was built in the 1880s, the distinctive ‘Carpenter Gothic’ house has been loved and maintained by four generations of women through the pleasures and labours of daily life.

11.01.2022 'Precious Purslane' Multi mono print with stitch. 42x32 cm. This weed is just that, 'a weed'. But when printed the imagery is beautiful. But there is more. The leaves, stems, and blooms are all edible and can be eaten raw or cooked, hence the title.

11.01.2022 Fragmentation III. Eco plant print on paper with stitch. In this series of works I am using prints of exotic aliens that have escaped from the garden into the bush. Up and coming exhibition will be part of the SeeChange Winter Festival June 1-10.

10.01.2022 'Passiflora subpeltata'. Multi mono print with stitch. 40X32 cm. This is a print of the leaves from a passionfruit plant that has found its way to the fire ravaged Jervis Bay National Park. The natives are taking a time to regrow but the exotics do not. Interesting how you can make a beautiful print from a plant that could ruin the habitat.

08.01.2022 'Elegant Exotic I, Multi Mono print. This is another print from the series 'Exotic Aliens' or escapes from the garden. 38x28cms

07.01.2022 'Wind'. Ink wash and pen on paper

07.01.2022 'Wild Garden I' , Eco print and stitch on paper. 55x25 cm. Again these works are created by contact printing the plants using heat and water and a mordant. All of these escaped exotics were collected in the tracts of land that borders suburbia and the bush.
