One man, walking West to East Australia Think you can help? ... G'day, my name is Tristan "Banger" Harris, I am 46 years old, married with 2 awesome kids! I was enlisted in the Royal Australian Navy, as a Medic since I was 18. Recently retired from the RAN, I am walking from HMAS Stirling in Western Australia to HMAS Creswell in the East of Australia (JBT)! A journey of over 4200 klms, with no support crew or back up vehicle, this trip is planned to raise funds for Legacy, which is dedicated to caring for the families of veterans who have died or become incapacitated either on service or subsequently. 20.01.2022 As many of you will already be aware I have sold the Barbed Wire Pub and will be moving on in the near future. I am sure The Incoming Owners Adrian & Julie Lewis will be great and I hope you all support them in the future as you have supported me in the past 8 years. THE WEATHER GUY SAYS IT MIGHT BE COLD & WET THIS SATURDAY IF IT IS WE HAVE A PLAN "B" FOR THE BARBED WIRE PUB 140 YEAR CELEBRATION THE BAND CAN PLAY INSIDE & WE CAN SERVE FOOD FROM THE GOURMET CAMP OVEN CATERING VAN AT THE FRONT OF THE PUB "CANT HAVE THE OLD FARTS IN THE BAND PLAYING WITH COLD FINGERS CAN WE ???" NO MATER WHAT THE WEATHER IS THE SHOW WILL GO ON AS THEY SAY !

17.01.2022 Just a reminder that there will not be any Pizza at The Barbed Wire Pub tonight as we have a few ronovstions happening in the kitchen. Keep an eye on FB as we to see when we Re open Hopefully by next weekend.

17.01.2022 G day all The 140th Birthday of The Spalding Hotel (Barbed Wire Pub) will still take place on Saturday from 6pm with the band starting around 8pm We have made the decission to hold it in the pub and not out doors due to the weather !!!! (this means no chairs or blankets required & the pub will be crowded so there may not be room for prams and play area for kids as there would have been outdoors) Sorry for any inconvenience but mother nature can be nasty at times !!
