04.01.2022 Introducing to you Senior Barber Nick ‘Gurtz’ Kourtis A spill from Nick From a young age I have always had a passion for barbering, this stemmed from the time I spent as a young kid in my Grandmothers Hair Salon. I loved spending time there wether it was cutting the hair on the mannequins or even just helping out. I got to see my Grandmother cutting her friends hair, having fun, smiling and chatting away, I could envision following in her footsteps.... I was the first student to come through the Barbery College, I enjoyed the time I spent there progressing my skills and meeting others who shared the same passion for Barbering as me. From there I transitioned into the Barber Boys stores! What I love most about Barbering is that you never know what to expect when it comes to requests, one of my all time favourites was a faded mullet with a crop with some patterning done on the sides. I love the creative aspect and the forever changing and developing trends. What I love most about working for Barber Boys is that it’s a second family, I love the family environment and the relationships I’ve created along my Barbering journey. I’am also proud knowing that I work for one of the best barbering companies in the nation. I’am excited to see what 2021 brings in terms of styles, I would love to see the return of medium length hair and more classic styles such as the slick backs and flat tops. #FollowTheLeader
