21.01.2022 Nothing like a festive Sparkling Shiraz Gin Spritz to kick off this year’s Christmas dinner with friends. First a shot of Two Accents stunning Shiraz Gin from the Adelaide Hills and a splash of Marionette Mûre (Blackberry) liqueur on ice. Topped this with some beautiful Sparkling Shiraz from Taltarni Vineyards in the Victorian Pyrenees and garnished with a slice of red plum, raspberry and a sprig of fresh rosemary for an added herbaceous note. So rich, luscious and bursting with festive goodness. Hope you enjoyed something equally tasty at your Christmas table and supported local producers as much as possible. - #getbardup

18.01.2022 When in Nagambie a trip to the Nagambie Brewery & Distillery is a must. Perfect weather this time of year to sit out in the deck looking out over the lake with one of their fine beers and a burger. Tasting paddles are also available and grab a nip of their awesome gin which you can purchase by the bottle as well. Look out for Jamie the brewer and distiller, he’s likely to be super busy but you may catch a glimpse of him as you walk through the door. Get in your car and visit great regional venues like these and support them, Nagambie is less than two hours from Melbourne and well worth the trip.

12.01.2022 New Year’s Day done right with Patient Wolf’s new G&T cans. Who can be bothered mixing drinks after a big night, and with these you don’t have to. Made with Long Rays Original Tonic it’s perfectly balanced because it’s low in sugar so you get all the refreshment without the sweetness, making them super sessionable either straight from the can or poured on ice in a tall glass with a simple ruby grapefruit garnish. We’re also loving these chunky ice sticks made with our silicon mould from DrinksPlinks, they are perfect for long drinks and because they take ages to melt you can keep topping up your drink without making extra trips to the freezer. Happy New Year everyone and may 2021 be filled with great booze shared with good friends.

11.01.2022 Every Christmas we make a special pudding cake and every year the alcohol we use seems to change. This year we used a combination of whisky, Christmas gin and brandy to soak the fruit but when the cake came out of the oven we brushed it liberally while piping hot with Chase’s stunning Marmalade Vodka. The bittersweet orange flavour works perfectly with a fruit cake especially when served warm with vanilla custard. Hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas and ate lots of delicious food. Stay tuned for our Christmas night cocktails..... - #getbardup

07.01.2022 When you’re invited to a party and you’re greeted by this! 21 year old Glenfiddich finished in Caribbean rum casks. It would’ve been silly to say no. - @glenfiddichwhisky @williamgrantandsons #glenfiddich #glenfiddichwhisky
