If we could legally wave the gap fee for families choosing to isolate, we would stand half a chance of not losing most of our enrolments. My educators need their jobs, our business needs families to stay enrolled, children need places like Barefoot where childhood and children really matter.

These are the must haves: Must be passionate about children’s nutrition and well-being. Must love the company and help of children in the kitchen. Must be non-judgmental and respectful of parent’s dietary preferences. Must have or be willing to apply for a Blue Card and Food Safety Certificate. Must be literate and able to cond...uct the required daily food and hygiene safety checks. Must be experienced in cooking and cleaning and take great pride in their presentation and work. Must be flexible and able to go the extra mile for the good of the children or the team. Sense of humor and positive attitude ESSENTIAL. These are the desirables: Previous experience in Long Day Care. Certificate 3 Qualification in Children’s Services or a willingness to study. Traineeships may be considered.
