12.01.2022 Hi teams, we have missed you this year, so we are opening the entries early for our 2021 Softball Queensland Masters Tournament! Moreton Bay Regional Council ha...ve agreed to support the Masters tournament for 2021, 2022 and 2023 across Talobilla Park. This includes Redcliffe Softball Association, PCYC Football and Padres Baseball and commencing in 2021, the Caboolture Softball Association at Dances Road, Caboolture. Entries open on Friday, 4th December 2020 at 10am (AEST). A minimum of six (6) players from each team will need to have registered and paid to secure their spot. 08.01.2022 Hi BARGARA Team, We require some volunteers to assist this Saturday 19 September at the Softball Queensland U16 Boys State Championships being hosted by the Hervey Bay Softball Club. 08.01.2022 The U14 Boys State softball Champions were played at Noosa Softball Grounds this weekend... Ruby Bourke attended as our umpire for carnival. Linkin Bourke represented Bargara for the boys Hervey Bay team. Hervey Bay u14 Boys came Runners up in the Presidents cup ! Close game against Toowoomba 9-8 . 07.01.2022 We are fund raising for one of our members this year on Pink Day. Kirsty's family have requested that we donate to Play For a Cure Foundation to fund cancer research. For members who don't know Kirsty this is her story:... Kirsty has played softball since she was 4yrs old. She has played and represented her respective regions since 2015. She was in the Queensland primary schoolgirls 2016 team, 2018 and 2019 u15 Queensland development teams and the winning 2020 u16 Queensland team. She has represented Hervey Bay at State Championship in 2018 and 2019. For the 2019/20 Association season she played for Gladstone Softball Telfords and Hervey Bay Brothers United. After returning in January from 2020 Softball Nationals, she became very fatigued and complained about bone&muscle soreness. Despite the pain she continued to play her favourite sport until she collapsed at the semifinals in Gladstone and also the Grand Final day in Hervey Bay. Eventually her pain increased till she couldn’t walk, rest at night, attend school or play softball. In April she was referred to Brisbane specialists who found she had Metastasised Ewing’s Sarcoma. Her primary cancer in her right femur including a large tissue tumour, the metastasis cancer was throughout the other bones in her body and she was put on an immediate aggressive Chemotherapy. She has had to move to Brisbane to receive her weekly chemo treatment, which has been successful in destroying the secondary cancer in her bones, and will continue until early 2021, she has also had radiation therapy, and will then have surgery on the Femur after completing chemotherapy. 05.01.2022 Bargara Softball Club has vacancies in our Junior teams they are T Ball, U12 and U14 Mixed Softball teams. So if you are 4 1/2 through to 16 years of age or know someone interested. Softball is a great team sport for both boys and girls. Games are played at Brothers Bulldogs AFL field, off Faircloth Crescent, Kensington.
