24.01.2022 ** Dear Friends of Bark Lane ** Last week we heard some devastating news regarding an explosion in Rozelle that took the lives of 3 innocent people, including a beautiful 12 month old baby boy. Having lived in the area for quite some time, this tragedy has affected us deeply. There are numerous residents and businesses directly affected by this. :( We will be collecting pet food, pet items and necessities to donate to the many people who have lost everything and are now wit...hout. There will also be a donation tin in store. We will be depositing any cash donations into the Rozelle Fire Appeal bank account. 13.01.2022 Dear Friends of Bark Lane **IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT** After much careful consideration, we have decided to close Bark Lane at Top Ryde City. Although the concept itself has been extremely successful; costs including commercial rent, wages, stock and upkeep have proven to be too high and it has exceeded our income. We have decided to close our retail leg of Bark Lane before this becomes out of control.... On behalf of the 250 rehomed animals and everyone at Bark Lane, we would like to thank: Our loyal supporters who have followed the journey of Bark Lane from day one (when we were just an idea and a hole in the ground!) and watched every single one of our animals come in homeless and leave a few weeks later with a new loving family. You have shared every single journey with us. We have gotten to know your names and faces as you comment on their progress, or pop in to the shop for a cuddle and chat. Your support has been immensely appreciated and you have made us smile on many occasion! To our foster carers and volunteers. Thank you for allowing your homes to be temporary playgrounds (or mess zones! Haha) for our cheeky monsters. Your commitment has been amazing and we have appreciated being able to call on you for help. We will be continuing to rescue so keep in touch! :) To our rescue vets who have, and continue to provide THE best medical care to our babies. Without you we wouldn't be able to do what we do. We have loved working with you and we hope we can work with you in the future as we will be continuing to rescue. And last but definitely not least, to our adopters who have opened up their hearts and homes and taken in a Bark Lane baby of their own. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You rescuing a BL baby has enabled us to keep rescuing more abandoned animals and save more lives. You are family to us. I am relying on my Mum sending the orders for me and she is working odd hours next week, plus the post office is closed for ANZAC day so the next time she can get to the post office is Saturday 2nd May.
