17.01.2022 *IMPORTANT CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE BARNSTONEWORTH UNITED FC COMMUNITY* It is with deep regret that we must inform you that as a club, we will not be participating in the 2020 season across all our male and female Football Victoria, VicSoccer and Over 45 teams due to COVID-19. Please understand that as a committee we did not come to this decision lightly.... While you can read more via the link to our website below, the main reasons for this decision are as follows: - Our main responsibility is the health and safety of our club. Beyond the implications pertaining to the inability for any association to provide insurance against potential cases of COVID-19, we cannot risk the health of those who are so important to our community players, members, supporters, family and friends - Lack of sanitary facilities given the current refurbishment of the clubhouses at JT Gray Reserve - Financial impacts with the absence of clubrooms, canteen and no crowds in 2020 Please be assured that we have confirmed with all associations that our club will not be penalised for withdrawing from any competition in 2020 either financially or via demotion. We appreciate this isn’t a decision anyone wanted to hear, but with new clubrooms ready in time for the 2021 season, we are very excited with what lays ahead! Please stay safe in these difficult times and if you wish to discuss anything listed in our full statement, do not hesitate to be in touch. THE LEGEND *WILL* CONTINUE...

04.01.2022 Though we can’t band together and support each other on the pitch right now, we think it is vital that as a community united by our love for football and this club, we back our members in other ways. Knowing many of those at the club own small businesses, we want to share these with you in the coming days and weeks - particularly those who may be impacted by the ramifications of COVID-19 the most. *If you want us to share your business, please send us a DM with all the detail...s so we can give it a shout out* Today, we start with Relax&Play. Owned by BUFC President Shaun Risse and his wife Caroline, R&P is located in Altona North. A new concept play and wellness centre for children and parents, the cafe is home to some of the best food in the west! Though the centre itself is currently closed for the safety of all visitors, the kitchen remains OPEN, offering a number of delicious takeaway food options (please see the menu and further details in photo). Can’t get to the supermarket or simply don’t want to battle the crowds? Here is your solution!
