Essential maintenance services will be prioritised in order of urgency. The Residency The Direction is that all aged care facilities in South Australia are in lockdown. Visiting will be via Skype and FaceTime only, and these sessions will need to be booked 24 hours in advance, during the usual visiting times of 10am to 12pm and 1pm to 3pm weekdays, and 1pm to 3pm on weekends. Volunteering All volunteering has been cancelled. Lifestyle Program All community lifestyle programs have been cancelled. 07.01.2022 Restrictions are in place at Residential Aged Care Facilities in South Australia for people visiting from locations in NSW. Anyone who has been in a prohibited location or a high community transmission zone in NSW is prohibited from entering an Aged Care Facility. Details are available at www.sahealth.sa.gov.au

06.01.2022 As a result of today’s news related to the Parafield Cluster, some restrictions around the current lockdown will be lifted as of midnight Saturday. For the Residency, this means returning to the conditions imposed before the full lock down: All staff, volunteers and visitors at the Residency wearing masks... Residents who have been in hospital will be required to quarantine in their rooms for 14 days Residents will not be allowed to have overnight leave until further notice Residents will only be permitted to have a maximum of two visitors per day, with visits confined to 30 minutes in their rooms These visits need to be booked 24 hours in advance Visiting times are 10am-12pm and 1pm-3pm seven days a week All visitors must be flu vaccinated Visitors can attend via the visiting window if they are not able to have a flu vaccination All visitors will be asked about their movements before entering the Residency and will be denied entry if they have been to any of the hot spots identified by SA Health Barossa Village encourages all staff and visitors to not visit the northern suburbs If you have symptoms, get tested CHSP and Home Care restrictions will remain as current until close of business, Monday, November 23. All Community Lifestyle programs will recommence Monday, November 30. As noted by the Premier, we are not out of the woods and back to where we were at the beginning of this week, with a dangerous cluster. In the meantime, we recommend wearing of masks and the usual COVID safe protocols.



05.01.2022 Following the Directions released on November 16 by SA Health, Barossa Village is suspending all community group activities for a minimum of two weeks. We will keep you updated with any changes or developments about these activities.
