25.01.2022 Our next shoot is on Sunday 10th starting at 12 midday. We will start the day with 20T double barrel, followed by 25T point score, 20T single barrel and if time permits we will finish with 20 pair double rise. Noms are the usual $30 and as always a sausage sizzle and drinks will be available for purchase. Don't hesitate to contact us if you need more info.

25.01.2022 Just a reminder for Saturday’s shoot, kicking off at 10am, Stubbie Clays will be in play and a steak sandwich and drink will be included in the $30 nom fee. Our program will be: 20 Target Double Barrel, 30 Target Mixed Target, Single Barrel Annie Oakley Event (buy-in and cash divide) and a Double Rise event will be worked out on the day. Prizes for all shooters. Hope to see you there.

25.01.2022 The club will be holding an AGM on Saturday 13th June starting from 2:30pm at the Barraba Rugby Club. All members are invited to attend.

23.01.2022 Our Christmas shoot will be held on Saturday 23rd starting at 10am, usual noms of $30, lunch will be provided as well (details to follow, maybe something different to our usual sausage sizzle). A program will be posted a bit later on, but our world famous stubby clays will be making an appearance by popular demand. Prizes for High Gun, 1st and 2nd places in both the Medley and Double Rise.

20.01.2022 Hi all, sorry for the delay in posting this update. Barraba Clay Target Clubs April shoot has been cancelled due to Easter/Anzac Day/School Holidays etc. dragging the majority of our members across the countryside. Our next shoot will be held on Sunday 12th May and we will start from 12 Midday. More details will follow. Thanks.

20.01.2022 Our next shoot will be held on Sunday 25th November, starting at 1pm. Events will include: 20T double barrel 20T point score 30T medley... 20T single barrel Soft drink and bottled water will be available for purchase but there will not be any sausage sizzle. We will also be heading to the Commercial for a few drinks afterwards. Hope you can make it along and don’t hesitate to contact us for any details.

19.01.2022 Our AGM will be held on October 6th at the Commercial Hotel Barraba, starting at 6:30pm. All members and partners are welcome, dinner and drinks will be provided by the club. Hope to see you there.

18.01.2022 The clubs planned September shoot was to be this weekend on the 8th, however we have had to cancel it at this stage. A new date later in the month will be discussed at our meeting on Friday night and announced over the weekend. Sorry for any inconvenience.

There are only a few powered sites left and 2 golf buggies for those who require them. Camping is first in best dressed. Plenty of firewood available. Long term forecast is looking excellent.

15.01.2022 No shoot this month, our new trap hasn’t arrived yet and our old clanger has been too much of a headache the last few shoots. Will keep everyone posted as soon as we’re ready to roll in February.

15.01.2022 So 3 of our club shooters ventured down to Quirindi Sporting Clays today for their monthly shoot. Luckily we were squadded up with a father/son pair who happily showed us the ropes and joined in our usual friendly banter. We all had a great day and somehow one of us managed to snag B Grade for the day. By a shoot off no less!

Also for anyone interested, a group of us are planning to go to the Quirindi clubs shoot next Sunday. It's a great little club and a fun day of shooting. 07.01.2022 A good turnout for our shoot on Sunday, despite the windy conditions we were able to post some really good scores. First event for the day was a 20 target double barrel. 3 shooters scored 19’s- Ben Hands, James Pilcher and Hugh Trotter, followed closely by Tom Scanlon 18 and new shooters Cameron Boxsell and Sebastian Donovan scoring 17’s. Next up was 50 targets of Point Score. James Pilcher led the way with 142/150, followed by Hugh Trotter 135/150 and Ben Hands 131/150.... Another new shooter, Angus Shepherd posted a really impressive 120/150 despite having to change guns halfway through due to technical difficulties. Last event for the day was a modified 10 pair double rise and the tricky conditions proved no obstacle for Ben Hands who scored a perfect 20/20. 2nd place to James Pilcher 19 and 3rd to Tom Scanlon 18. The hottest competition however proved to be between the new guys again but this time Will Rixon rose to the top with a 16/20 beating out Sebastian Donovan 15, Angus Shepherd and Cameron Boxsell 14. Special mention for David Boxsell who continued to improve all day and finished off with a 12/20. Finally we were very happy as a club to welcome 2 junior shooters to their first ever event. Brothers Reuben and Corben Shepherd spent the day learning the ins and outs of Clay target shooting and posted some terrific scores. After learning the basics with 10 targets of single barrel the boys moved on to 20 targets of double barrel and managed scores of 12 for Corben and 8 for Reuben. Next up they keenly tried 10 pairs of double rise with Corben once again scoring 12 to Reubens 2. Not to be outdone on the day though, Reuben then claimed a 10 target point score event with a 21/30 to Corbens’ 17/30. Was a great day all around and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Our next shoot will be held on the 17th of March. Hope you can make it.

Our program will be 20 Target double barrel, 15 Target single barrel, 25 Target point score and we will finish with either a double rise or deuville doubles event, depending on numbers. Our working bee was a great success, massive thanks to all that helped out. See you on the 29th.
