23.01.2022 Buyers and renters in Melbourne will once again be able to inspect homes one-on-one after Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced tough coronavirus-related restrictions would be eased. From Monday, Melburnians will be able to inspect properties one-on-one with an agent. A partner and children are also allowed at inspections, under the relaxed rules.

21.01.2022 With many first time home buyers putting their plans on hold due to lockdown, we are expecting an influx of buyers ready to hit the market when lockdown restrictions are eased. If you are getting ready to buy your first home, here are some of our top tips to help make sure you are financially ready prior to making that first offer: Have all your finances in order.... Be ready with pre-approval from your financial institution or broker and a good understanding of how much you can actually spend. Factor in all purchasing costs. Take into account stamp duty, legal costs, insurance and bank fees. Understand how much of a deposit you can put down at the time of sale and the settlement time you may need. Be aware of First Home Owners Grant and any concessions and additional grants you may be entitled to. Eligible first-home buyers can take advantage of state government grants, discounts and schemes to help make buying their first property easier, as well as a federal government scheme to help save a deposit. 07.01.2022 Given the high levels of pent-up buyer demand we have been reporting throughout 2021, it was no surprise that we saw the real estate market in the City of Casey go from a lockdown enforced ‘mini break’ to a flood of activity in the space of 24 hours this week. As we forecast in last week's update, the phones started ringing and the email enquiries started landing in our in-boxes on Wednesday as soon as the end of the latest restrictions was confirmed, and they haven’t stopped... since. This demand from buyers has produced some impressive turnouts at our Open Houses, and some terrific sales results for happy vendors. A prime example of this involved the recent sale of a well-presented family home located within walking distance of Westernport Bay in Blind Bight. The good looking three-bedroom home at 3 Gull Court generated plenty of positive feedback from buyers, many of whom were already living in the area and looking to upgrade. Not surprisingly, the location was one of the popular features, being set at the end of a quiet court that was still close to the local General Store, boat ramps, the foreshore and bushwalking tracks. Local schools were also just a short drive away.
