18.01.2022 How Sebastian lost 42kg When Sebastian first came to me in November 2016, he was weighing 144kg and equally heavy desire to lose weight (pun intended). He has signed up at the gym and booked in the free consultation with myself to organise a plan of action to improve his health and physique.... We sat down and had a good look at his past and current lifestyle and how to effectively achieve his goals. After 15 minutes we were signed up and went over to the initial measurements and fitness testing. Measurements are a very important element as they allow us to see how the training and diet regimen affect the physique. What works for one person will not necessarily work for the other, that’s why monthly measurements and plan upgrades are a must, when it comes to achieving your fitness goals. As for the fitness testing it allows us trainers to see how much a person can do in terms of training, as body needs to be challenged to achieve great results. Based on Sebastian’s history and current fitness level (at the time) I have written a plan that I thought would suit him best. His plan was a mix of strength training, cardio and muscle endurance circuits, which we updated every month. Week by week we were smashing our personal training sessions and Sebastian was doing a great job of following his training plan on the days we didn’t have PTs. He stuck to his diet and month by month we were shaving of those kgs and adjusting the training plan to keep up the awesome progress. Fast forward a year and we were down from 144kgs to 102kgs! Since then Sebastian has started training with his wife and they keep each other accountable. These days we catch up on the monthly social hikes and I am happy to see my old student staying fit and healthy
