25.01.2022 On behalf of every player that has set foot on Baseball Park over the past 10 or so years, we thank you Bob for your tireless support of our game and the thousands of kilometres mowing and maintaining our hallowed turf. Big shoes to fill! If they have a baseball field in Bali it will soon be pristine haha!!

25.01.2022 We have just been advised that Baseball NSW will meet with the Office of Sport tonight, relating to Covid-19 restrictions announced by the State Government earlier this week. They will update us further tomorrow. Thanks all for your patience.

17.01.2022 Blue Sox Hitting Clinic with Manny Ramirez has been postponed. Please see correspondence from the SBS. Good morning all,... I am disappointed to advise that we have had to make the tough decision to postpone tomorrow’s Hitting Clinic at the Central Coast. With everything that is going on with COVID around the greater Sydney region right now and with participants booked from outside this region and from the Northern Beaches it just did not make sense to try to proceed with all the restrictions in place trying to stop the community spread. The ABL schedule has just changed this week after a number of games were not able to proceed because of COVID-related border closures. There may be further changes coming. So please bear with us as we work around the ABL schedule and the ever-changing COVID restrictions to get this clinic rescheduled. Thank you for your patience and understanding. It is a challenging time for many and live sports are certainly not exempt from this!

Matt’s design: I thought the catfish, or old fish with whiskers was a nice signal to the heritage of the Marlins, but just of a different vintage. Congratulations Matt! Matt will now receive a free team entry for one of our upcoming Madters competitions.

The nomination below came from Peter Clare and Phil Walsh but was carried unanimously at today's CCBA Annual General Meeting (held over from March due to Covid-19). I'm sure you will all agree this award is well deserved and Bob will join a very esteemed list of Life Members.

06.01.2022 Junior Baseball Update After meeting with all juniors clubs CCBA has made some changes to our Junior competitions for summer season 20/21. These changes were made to ensure as many kids as possible have an opportunity to safely enjoy a great summer of baseball. As such we can now confirm the following. Competitions will be run for Tee Ball, Rookie Ball, Little League and Under 15s All competitions will be run on Friday evenings... All competitions will commence on Friday November 13 and will continue through to March after a short xmas break Grounds will alternate between Hylton Moore and Wattanobbi - (please note Under 15s games will play at the alternate ground to all other age groups) Balls will be smashed, Catches will be made and fun will be had. 04.01.2022 Pirates have advised that canteen will be open for junior games at Hylton Moore tonight. So dinner plans and entertainment sorted for tonight!!

03.01.2022 Masters Competition The required number of teams has been met for the Baseball Park venue. Five teams were accepted and will now play over 10 weeks (8 games per team).... The competition will now commence January 25th, 2021. All team delegates will be contacted regarding rules and competition draw. There are still team slots available for Watanobbi.
