He started playing golf at age of 8 and became a junior at Monash when he was 17. He was appointed the captain of the NSW men’s state team and was selected to play for Australia in many teams after he won the Monash Masters, Club Championship and Major Pennant. At the end of 2002, he turned professional. Adam Groom’s career highlights encompass: - finished 5th as an Amateur in the NZ Open where he beat Tiger Woods; - reached No. 2 in the US Golfweek Amateur world rankings; - finished 14th on the Order of Merit and was awarded Rookie of the Year on the Asian Tour; - finished the second place on the Asian Tour for two times; - numerous Top 10 on both European and Asian Tours. After retiring from the Asian Tour, he grew a huge passion for teaching. With rich experience playing with some of the world’s best golfers, he loves sharing his knowledge of the game with members and juniors at Monash helping them achieve their goals, and he also loves taking other enthusiastic golfers on tailored golfing trips. She is a certified PGA member advanced in golf coaching, who is also TPI and Trackman certified. She started playing golf at an early age of 8 and got a scholarship at Concord Golf Club when she was 15. Being a great amateur player, she used to represent NSW and Australia for several times and received a scholarship from NSW Institute of Sport. Born on the Gold Coast, he joined Southport Golf Club as a junior and was playing there as a member until 2010. 01.01.2022 Golfmate App Soft Launch Event with PGA Australia Members On Tuesday 27 October 2020, golf professionals attended O Bar and Dining in Sydney for the soft launch of Golfmate - the App designed for golfers to connect with coaches. Among the guests were high profile PGA golf coaches from top private and public golf clubs around Sydney. Paul Davis of the Beverley Park Golf Club and PGA member since 2003 was the speaker for the evening. Paul spoke of the benefits of the app for ...golf coaches: its time saving capabilities and the potential for golf coaches to increase their exposure as well as promote their business on an integrated platform were highlighted in his speech. At the event, many coaches have addressed the challenges they are currently facing when promoting and operating their business, for examples: Amateur golfers do not know where to book and which coach to look for when they want to book a lesson Student have to rely predominantly on word of mouth to find a coach instead of viewing their profile beforehand Up until now, booking any of these aspects of golf required players to make a phone call and be told of what times were available There is lack of engagement between students and coaches, as there is no formal communication tool for coaches and students to message each other, and Everything Needs to Be Done Manually! And Golfmate is the answer to ALL THE ABOVE QUESTIONS. The Golfmate platform is designed for golf coaches and players. The app enables users to book tee times, coaching, caddies and golf travel experiences. Currently stage one, the golf coach booking feature is live. Stage two, the tee time and competition booking system is in development.
