18.01.2022 INSTANT ASSET WRITE-OFF DEADLINE EXTENDED Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has last night announced the Government will extend the $150,000 instant asset write-off sch...eme through to 31/12/2020. The scheme previously set to expire on 30/6 allows businesses with a turnover of up to $500 million to fully deduct the cost of business assets - up to $150,000 per item - in the year of purchase. This includes both new and second-hand assets and applies as a per asset limit meaning a business can take advantage of the rules for each asset if they buy multiple items.

Next Tuesday, 3rd November, we won't... be stopping to watch a horse race but we will be devouring a platter from Deli Delicious, and a cheeky glass of bubbles from Mackenzie Row Cellars, while donating our gambling money to RSPCA QLD. 08.01.2022 What are the JobKeeper fortnights A key requirement to receive the JobKeeper subsidy is that employers must ensure theyve met the minimum payment requirements for their eligible employees on a fortnightly basis. Understandably this has caused a lot of confusion particularly where the wage payment dates dont necessarily line up with the ATOs designated JobKeeper fortnights. ... Check out this great article which clarifies the requirements.

04.01.2022 Yes you could be eligible for JobKeeper payments for yourself even if you have no other employees.
04.01.2022 EMPLOYEE NOMINATION FORM The Answer is Yes. We recommend you should keep your employees informed as much as possible however as a minimum there are a few ste...ps that you must take to meet your legal obligations. You must send the JobKeeper Employee Nomination notice to all your eligible employees to complete and return to you before you claim any JobKeeper payments for that employee. This is an essential step. Once eligible you should advise your employees that they are receiving the JobKeeper payment. You will also need to make some changes to your payroll system to ensure you are correctly reporting JobKeeper payments. Each of the major software companies have produced a guide about how you can do this. Ask your boookkeeper or accountant for help or go to your software providers website. For more information on the Employee Nomination notice click on the link: https://www.ato.gov.au//JobKeeper-payment---employee-nomi/
