10.01.2022 A quick wrap up of my AWESOME week kayak fishing for Barra at Lake Monduran Holiday Park up in QLD. It all started out when I was lucky enough to have my name ...drawn out of the hat for a free kayak Barra fishing trip courtesy of Martyn Gittens from Berleypro. Anyone who was seen my Yak will know I am a huge fan of their products so to win a fishing trip just by commenting my name was unbelievable. Right from the get go, Scott Bryant from Bass to Barra kayak adventures made me feel welcome and supplied me with all the gear and advice I needed to get me onto my first ever Barra (and first ever catfish, but lets not mention that). Over the week he was always there offering advice on lures, techniques etc and making sure we all had enough water and food. Speaking of food, there was definitely no shortage of that, with Scott even delivering our meals to us on the water! The ever present Blake Hughes from Aussie Kayak & Fishing Adventures was also so great at offering advice and running around in his boat checking out more likely spots if out little honey hole dried up, which it didn't! On top of the great fishing, I was also blessed to join a group of guys who are now firm friends and with whom I will be sharing many, many more fishing trips. So all of you Scott Bryant, David Swindley, Zack Campbell, Khean Mak, Josh Dow and Zane Austin, thanks so much for helping me have the best week of fishing I have ever experienced. In the words of the great Jeff Fenech ... I Love youse all :) So to round it all up, if you feel the need to go chase some Barra I cannot recommend Scott Bryant's Bass to Barra kayak adventures highly enough. I will 100% be going back again next year and its just not going to come around quick enough. 28 fish landed including 5 over a meter! Redfin fishing is just never going to be the same again.
