25.01.2022 Beautiful display cabinet! Made from Jarrah, finished with danish oil and virgin bees wax. 1.4m long by 370 mm high. Dovetail joinery.

25.01.2022 Just finished another project for a happy client. The brief was to build a 70's style set of three kitchen cabinets, The front had to slant at a 5 degree angle. Cabinet grade birch plywood was used with oak trim to compliment the rest of the kitchen. We love designing and making unusual projects, so if you want to build something different get in touch!

23.01.2022 Welcome to Bass Creek Woodwork, I called my woodwork business after two activities that I am extremely passionate about - woodworking and bass fishing. These tw...o passions are similar in that they are wonderful in their simplicity and beauty. Both give me energy in a world that sometimes can be made far too complicated. I am proud to carry on the tradition and skills that my late father, who was a highly skilled pattern maker and woodworker passed on to me. I still use many of the hand tools that were passed down to him by his father. If you like any of my picture frames, boxes or you have an idea for a piece of furniture, you can commission a piece and we will see if we can make it a reality. 21.01.2022 bit of progress on the bench with my friend Ian Wilkie. Cut the blind dovetails and massive dovetails for the face vice. On the homeward straight now! Also worked on the tail vice block........its a beast of a bench!

20.01.2022 We only have 1 custom spot left outside our scheduled Toy Box, Swing Sets and Sandpit runs. Custom spots can be any small item and includes design layout and quote. Get in quick - it will go fast. :)

19.01.2022 Oh so close! Installed the face vice nut and vice screw. Will turn the vice handle out of some scrap. Looks really good. I cut the rod a rad long because I have to remove it before glue up.

18.01.2022 more progress in the bench build. The large face vice dovetail worked out pretty well. The back board dovetails, one set worked out well the other ended up being a bit off.....oh well only human, the small mistake will have to be patched.

18.01.2022 A little more work fine tuning the bench. Face vice cut and installed. Tail vice installed, I turned two handles.....looking gooood. It's glue up time!!!! Wohoooooo then final flattening and the glorious finish to apply!!!

Over the weekend we were commissioned to make a very special piece indeed - a lovely memorial box for use as a final resting place for the ashes of a loved one. We always put a lot of love into our pieces, this one required even more and a quick turn around. 3 days was a push, but we certainly delivered on our promise and delivered a very special, beautiful piece to our client. 17.01.2022 The bench is practically finished. Couple of minor adjustments over the weekend and we're done. What a journey, but absolutely thrilled with the result. Pics to come.

We can custom build most kids items and smaller household items. We are currently preparing the new workbench to roll out some beautiful, personalised, wooden toy boxes, wooden sandpits and double/triple swing sets. 10.01.2022 After a long slog the 18th century cabinet makers bench is finished. It all started with a pile of 100 year old spotted gum that I reclaimed from the wharfs when Brisbane had the worst flooding since '74. I look forward to building quality one off furniture.

10.01.2022 Building my bench I find the bench top clogging up with chisels, marking gauges, rulers and a million pencils !! So a $20 tool cart from Supercheap does the job nicely! Now to keep them off my bench top.....wonder how long that will last?? Do you have the same problem?

07.01.2022 This gorgeous garden bench was a special xmas present order. We sand blasted and repainted the beautiful old recycled legs and constructed with a gorgeous PNG Rosewood. The owners are delighted with the end result and it now provides a lovely spot in the garden to sit and have a coffee or cheeky wine. Thank you Karri for your order. They can be used as a cheese platter, bread board, hot dish board for serving to the table or any number of uses. Each board is hand made with unique characteristics in each piece of wood showing through. $60 each with free pick up from Brighton or delivery in Brisbane available at a small fee. Can post at buyers expense. These boards are extra large, but smaller boards and different shapes are available on request.
