25.01.2022 Hi there. Long time no see you all! I know it looks like I am tired but tomorrow morning around 9am I will be on the Broulee track. The Boss says she would love to take photos of other runners and walkers there to show how we are all trying to keep our fitness happening! I would love a pat and photo with anyone. As long as we socially distance of course!

24.01.2022 (not)parkrun is an opportunity for parkrunners to record a 5k completed on a route of your choice between Monday and Sunday and submit the time on your parkrun profile.

23.01.2022 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Hi parkrunners, For Batemans Bay parkrun to recommence on Dec 19, we require volunteers for the following tasks, please: ... Finish Tokens Barcode Scanner (x 2) Marshal Tailwalker Photographer Please comment if you’d like to help us out. Thanks parkrunners.

22.01.2022 Hi there parkrunners, we hope you are all keeping safe and well. Although this may come as no surprise, it has been confirmed that parkrun will continue its global suspension for the month of May. We hope you are running/walking regularly in the interim. Thanks parkrunners, stay active and safe .

22.01.2022 So you think no parkrun Just effects the runners and walkers? What about the meet and greet volunteer? Saturday’s are just not the same. I want to go and see my mates too! It’s not just about humans you know!

22.01.2022 Hey parkrunners. Please consider taking on a role as RD; our RD line-up is rather sparse. New Year's resolution, maybe? Please comment if you'd like to help out.

22.01.2022 Hi there, parkrunners! As you may have already deduced: due to the fickle nature of this pandemic, it is indefinite as to when parkrunAustralia widewill recommence. New Zealand parkrun however has recommenced, and in this we may find some solace. If you would like to be updated regularly on all things parkrun and its pending recommencement, be sure to ‘opt-in’ to receiving emails from parkrun Australia by following the link below, signing-in to your parkrun profile, and se...lecting ‘email options’. Thanks parkrunners, and notwithstanding, happy running/walking! https://www.parkrun.com/signin/

21.01.2022 Enjoyed volunteering today! Great to payback all the people who volunteer so I can run each week.

20.01.2022 Hello all our parkrun community. I know we are all missing each other. Just hoping we can do stuff again If we were to offer a 5km x 5 days run (but can be done in 7 days) would you all be interested? The runs can be anywhere. Just monitor on your clock! I would be happy to spreadsheet times at the end. We could start Monday 18th May! If I get 40 likes on this I will organise! This is not parkrun organised. Just by our community. And seriously the meet greet dog misses you more than anybody!

20.01.2022 So how about this. These two were Sports Champions at Broulee Public School in 2000! Girl and boy champions. Then we go 20 years on and they are running on the same track today without evening knowing the connection. Small world isn’t it. Runners will always be runners and don’t we love that. Walk shuffle or run. Just do it! And of course Dog had to photo bomb!

13.01.2022 Interesting and exciting news in today's national parkrun newsletter about work being done behind the scenes to get parkrun approved for resumption in the ACT and NSW: Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Group gathering limits in the ACT have recently been revised and a COVID Safe Event Protocol has been developed to help organisers plan events with more than 100 people. We are currently working with the seven parkrun events in the ACT to prepare and submit the necessary docum...entation to the government. New South Wales (NSW) NSW Health updated its framework for community sport organisations on 24 September. Whilst a small number of our events will sometimes exceed the participant limit of 500 people, we have submitted our COVID-19 Framework to the Minister for Health, Brad Hazzard, and are working with the government to understand if there is a way for all of our events in NSW to open. 13.01.2022 This is one group of eight that came from Canberra on the weekend and supported our parkrun! Thanks the girls and the boys! There was a bit of traffic chaos in the Bay today however that means to us all down here that many came and supported our community. So much appreciated.

13.01.2022 We caught a few of our parkrun regulars out and about this morning. Well done team.

12.01.2022 5K South Broulee/Bengello Trail This can be done at anytime. Social distancing must be observed - keep 1.5 metres away from others and avoid public gatherings.... We've marked out a 5k out-and-back loop on the South Broulee/Bengello Trail which runs parallel to Bengello Beach. The run/walk starts at the gate and the 2.5k turn around point is also marked. There is parking, but no toilets or water. You may post your Saturday or Sunday ‘Bengello Trail’ time here and be part of virtual parkrun (the brainchild of the ED from Rhodes (Sydney) parkrun. A Strava group has also been created. http://virtual5km.com Please note: this is not an official parkrun course and therefore your time cannot be recorded as a ‘freedom run’. https://www.facebook.com/groups/245794499923388
