14.01.2022 Volunteers needed - Do you love meeting new people? Do you have a passion for supporting people who may be experiencing hardship? Do you want to be a part of a new and exciting program in Bathurst? Then the Bathurst Buddies Program needs you! The Uniting Church Bathurst, The Salvation Army Bathurst and Mission Australia have teamed up to create this exciting program and we are looking for community members to help. Your role will involve being "paired up" with a Bathurst com...munity member who may be recovering from an addiction, experiencing social isolation and hardship. Bathurst Buddies will assist in facilitating social outings for the volunteers and community members to have coffee, go for walks around Bathurst and other activities promoting social inclusion. A 3-hour training session to be a buddy will be held on Thursday 12th March, 5.30-8.30pm at Salvos Connect (next to the Family Store), 37 Keppel St Bathurst.
