The Adelong Fal...ls Gold Mill Ruins are an amazing heritage-listed site steeped in natural beauty and history- the perfect place to get on the track and off the clock. The viewing platform is wheelchair accessible and gives a brilliant overview of this stunning site. In the warmer months the falls are a great place to unwind and cool off. This unique site is also accessible via the picturesque Adelong Creek Walk which links it to town. This is a lovely, easy walk with a wheelchair accessible path also suitable for strollers and bicycles. Interpretive signage at the falls allows for a better understanding of the region’s gold mining and indigenous history. 09.01.2022 The good folks at @happy_wombat_hazelnuts have a new member of the team. This young echidna is foraging the orchard floor for worms, ants and insect larvae with... its electroreceptive beak. Still mind blowing that this prickly mammal hatches from an egg and can still scratch an itchy spot- 'a welcome addition to our farm'. Happy Wombat Hazelnuts is located near Batlow and is home to 2,800 hazelnut trees and other cool climate crops such as berries and figs. All their produce is grown, harvested and handled on site, so you can be sure you’re getting a fresh and tasty result every time.
