18.01.2022 Good afternoon, Everyone is probably wondering why we havent posted about our soft start plan for Bayside Radio Control Car Club. So Here it is.... Our plan is to start doing control practise with 20 people at a time starting on 13/06/2020. We ask that all rules from the dept of health are continued to be followed at all times. Due to the size of the drivers stand we are limited to 5 people on the stand at a time and 4 people per big bench and 2 per small bench in total. There are to be NO pit crew or spectaors. Anyone wishing to participate MUST bring a comleted form for each person running a car in there group/family. My next post will be a nomination list for the times available. If you dont nominate you cant be guarenteed a spot. NO FORM NO PRACTISE. I wont have the printer and therefore will not be able to print them for you. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. Together we can get back to normality.

17.01.2022 A Covid - 19 advice to our club members and extended racing family. The BRCCC committee has decided to suspend any further organised racing, by unanimous vote, at our club facility at Wynnum Rd. This decision has not been taken lightly. But given the current situation Australia is facing we feel it is a necessary one.... Because the general public can enter the facility and we cannot control what surface contaminants are spread, we have no choice on the above decision as the risk is too great. The club also feels it should be proactive on the subject to do our part for the country moving forward. Signs will be posted at the club explaining this also. Our Governing body RCRA has posted that no sanctioned events are to go ahead, So we are just taking a further step. It is your safety and the safety of your families we are concerned about. In the mean time stay safe and be vigilant with your personal space. We will advise when racing will commence again. See you all on the other side The BRCCC Committee

15.01.2022 This Poll is to decide if we should start racing Sundays starting at 10am from the 26th July. We would only race Sundays for 2 mths as a trial. If the numbers drop off on Sundays we will revert back to Saturday Nights. Only current member's votes will count.

14.01.2022 Australia Day cup has been run and won. Thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting the club for its first meet of 2020. Great numbers with new racers and even some old faces in attendance.... ISTC 21.5 had not only some new cars but also some new racers running. Matt Nobbs showed the new yokomo will be a contender in 2020. ISTC 13.5 had a large field and the racers deciding to run the full 12 car field as one in racing. With the grid starting after turn 1 to prevent bunch ups all drivers showed a high calibre of racing. It really was a credit to all the racers and certainly great to watch. Solid field of trucks and as always very close racing. The ever popular kids club also had a full field with all the kids having a great time with lots of laughs in the drivers stand. 07.01.2022 Welcome back to racing for 2021. We had a great field of racers at our 1st race meeting for the year with 5 Juniors, 9 in 21.5 3 in 13.5 and 6 in trucks lining up to face the track tonight.... Racing in Juniors is always interesting to say the least with Eli taking the eventual win after a year off from racing. Congrat Eli. All the juniors need recognition for their efforts as they are the life blood of the sport. 1st Eli Khoury 2nd Kade Martens 3rd Mikayla Field 4th Jamie Miller 5th Vanessa Kilduff 21.5 was a quality field as always with some very close racing in the qualifiers between Josh Olsen, Olaf Olsen and myself battling it out to see who would TQ. That new Xray 2021 doing the job nicely. 13.5 was a Close battle between Terry Norman and new to 13.5 racer Jason Pike who kept Terry honest all night. Trucks was yet again a Josh Olsen affair taking TQ and 2 out of the 3 finals to win overall. 06.01.2022 Solid night of racing for Summer Series Round 1. Running a different track layout than usual, all the racers enjoyed the change. Great turnout with 5 classes running (21.5, 13.5, mod, kids, truck).... Extremely close racing throughout all classes with everyone keeping it extremely clean. Kids Club is really stepping it up with the next generation of racer showing some great lap times. Brooke's canteen (feat. Kat) done a great job keeping everyone fed with the usual great selection of food (even Vegetarian options!). See you all in a fortnight

04.01.2022 Something everyone should read

04.01.2022 Incoming Covid-19 post BRCCC would like to advise our members, associated club members and social visitors to our club that formal club sanctioned meetings will continue fortnightly until such time as we are advised otherwise. We note in the most recent advice from the department regarding COVID-19 that while non-essential gatherings should be limited to 500 people, this does not include workplaces, schools, universities, shops, supermarkets, public transport ...and airports. BRCCC will act on the advice of the Department of Health if and when its directives change. Until then BRCCC will take some common sense measures including hand sanitiser available from race control and cleaning of pit area prior to racing. We would ask patrons to also use common sense when attending, for example please don’t turn up if you have symptoms and keep personal contact to a minimum. Air high fives after a good race are encouraged.

04.01.2022 Bayside Radio Control Car Club will be taking a short 3 week break and returning on the 15th of February and then fortnightly from then on. In the cooler months we will move to Sunday day racing (10am-2pm-ish). Nobody likes freezing in the driver's stand! Memberships are also due. This year members will certainly see value for money with a track resurface happening sooner rather than later.

04.01.2022 RACING IS CANCELLED Unfortunately due to the rain we have had already and the forecast for more rain during the remainder of the day racing has been cancelled for tonight. I would personally like to thank all the racers for continuing to support Bayside Radio Control Car Club for the weird wacky 2020 racing we had. Hopefully 2021 will allow us to go back to normal racing and close competition.... REMINDER THAT THE 2021 AGM WILL BE HELD ON SAT 23RD JANUARY AT 2PM SHARP ALL CLUB MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND TO HAVE A SAY ON WHO RUNS THE CLUB NEXT YEAR. 01.01.2022 WE ARE BACK RACING Sort of... We are going to run a normal race meeting on Saturday Night with nominations from 5pm and racing from 6pm. FILLED OUT FORM AND CORRECT MONEY NEEDED. Unfortunately due to the COVID rules we are still limited to numbers as we have been recently and we have worked out that we can fit 20 under the covered area .... After the 1st 20 names are nominated we will need people to bring a Gazebo, and table with them as we have worked spacing for them as well.
