21.01.2022 This Saturday our Mens team travels to Sale to take part in the Kendall Cup, an annual one day tournament in honour of a past player. This year Sale United Football Club will also be raising funds to support the Mallacoota Soccer Club who were devastated by the fires earlier this year. Should be a great day.

20.01.2022 An update from Football Victoria in regards to a potential restart in 2020. Fingers crossed.

20.01.2022 With 3 weeks left in the year, we have managed to squeeze in a couple of the annual games that were sorely missed this year, to put a line through 2020 and look forward to a new season in 2021. This Sunday, starting at 11am our Womens team will play in a mini round robin with Malvern City Football Club and South Springvale FC. 3 quick 30 min games with a final at 1:00pm. This will be followed by our annual Legends Cup game against Albert Park Soccer Club, our old rivals from ...back in the '90 and '00s. With the Argonauts having won the last 3 trophies, the Parkers will be keen to take the trophy this time around. The gyro will be on and drinks available. 18.01.2022 This Sunday we are holding a combined Registration, Uniform and Information Day to help everyone get ready for the 2021 season. As we don't have access to Shipston Reserve just yet, we are holding it at 57 Madden Rd Heatherton. Help will be available in regards to Registrations and Fee payments.... If you have outgrown your old Tops and would like to trade them in, we will buy them back for $20. We will also have new uniforms available for purchase. We have broken up the day into 4 time slots to help manage the numbers, but anytime is fine if you cant make your specified slot. 11am -12pm - Boys 7-11 year olds 12pm-1pm - Girls 7-11 year olds 1pm -2pm - Girls 12-17 year olds 2pm- 3pm - Boys 12 -15 year olds Note, that we still have vacancies in the following age groups. 18.01.2022 TRAINING RETURNS FOR SEASON 2020 Bayside Argonauts FC are excited to announce that we are back for season 2020. We are working to finalise approval from Bayside Council to recommence a training schedule for all of our teams that complies with the recent Government easing of restrictions and consistent with Football Victoria guidelines.... When do we start? Men (Seniors/Reserves), Senior Women Week commencing Tuesday 2nd June All other age groups: Week commencing Tuesday 9th June We will notify all coaches, managers and players of the updated Training Schedule in the next couple of days. For more information regarding the upcoming season and requirements from players and parents alike, please refer to the attached FV document. In this document you will be made aware of the additional compliance requirements the club is required to undertake. Most of your questions will be answered in the attached document, please read it. https://www.footballvictoria.com.au//FV_Return_To_Training It will certainly be different but will no doubt adjust as restrictions continue to ease. The overriding theme will be Get In. Train. Get Out. Will there be a season? Every indication from Football Victoria is that there will be a competitive season in 2020. FV has indicated a tentative start date of 28 June 2020, subject to the ongoing monitoring of COVID-19 cases and Government restrictions and guidelines. What do I need to do? No Pay. No Play. You MUST register to play. In addition to providing confirmation of numbers of players which will allow us to provide a training schedule that complies with COVID19 restrictions, it is a requirement of FV that players be registered to ensure we have insurance coverage. 16.01.2022 The Argonauts’ new club mural at the Moorabbin Hellenic Centre painted by local Baysider Ash Hoare @_artofhoary , pays tribute to our humble origins, a team formed by a group of mates at the Laminex Factory in Highett back in 1984, to what the club is now, a club of over 300 players, male and female across all ages. It celebrates the founding members and spirit, what we represent today and all the players who have put on the Argonauts jersey along the way. The player on the l...eft side of the mural is shown in the original Laminex strip from 1984 and bears the image of a raw and talented 17 year old by the name of Paul Mantas. He would go on to win 3 B&F’s, countless team honours and then successfully coach the senior team before retiring to become club President. Juniors and a Women’s team were introduced to the club 10 years ago by former players who are still involved with the group today. There are currently 8 former B&F winners who now have kids playing at our club, not to mention many other former players still involved. Not the result we wanted in our FFA Cup match yesterday, but great to have competition back Well done to Deakin Ducks Football Club, and good luck in your Round 3 clash next week. 10.01.2022 Runners up at the @footballchaos Pre-Season Cup hosted by @pakenhamunitedfc. It was an amazing effort by our girls playing 5 x 40 min games in the one afternoon without any subs. It took penalties to get past Beaumaris in the semi-final but then @williamslandingfc were too strong in the final ending up as deserved Champions. 02.01.2022 It is with some sadness that we announce that all training and competition has been suspended for 6 weeks following the announcement from the Victorian Government yesterday. Over the next few days, the BAFC Committee will be meeting and monitoring all updates from Football Victoria, Bayside Council and the Victorian Government to navigate the best way forward for our Club. We will be in touch with all members via email in the next few days.. 01.01.2022 Coronavirus Update We would like to advise that junior training has been suspended until April 1. This date coincides with our official move back into Shipston Reserve. We have taken into account that pre-season training for some teams has been taking place at various venues and that the facilities at these venues make it difficult to implement the government guidelines regarding hygiene. We also believe that it is unreasonable to place the burden of maintaining the hygien...e guidelines onto the coaches and team managers who are volunteers. We will continue to take advice from the government bodies and advise our members of any changes. See more
