17.01.2022 Manly Junior State Championships Round 1 at BYRA, November 2 and 3 Welcome to all Manly Junior Sailors and entourage. Most have had their Bacon & Egg Roll. Duly fortified they are making their way to the course north of Scotland Island for the first of two races today and two tomorrow. Winds are forecast to be brisk. Still a fair bit of smoke haze about.

12.01.2022 With only a few more sleeps to go. We wish all the sailors coming this weekend to the club for Rnd 1 of the Manly Juniors’s the best of luck and may the wind be on your side ! Great work Niall Powers !

09.01.2022 Kind words from the OutThere Sailing guys and a timely reminder that we are at the club every Friday afternoon from 4.30-6.30 for some fun on the water. Come down to check it out !

08.01.2022 Learn to sail is still on this Sunday 3rd November even with the 1st round of the Manly Juniors State Titles being conducted at the same time. So please parents of kids enrolled in LTS come on down and don't be afraid to lend a hand if you can. There will be plenty of excitement as the states best MJ sailors will all be sharing the grass setup area with the LTS kids. This means plenty of boats for the kids to check out and maybe be inspired to become the next champions ? We look forward to seeing you all there!

07.01.2022 Next Sunday is the start of part 2 of the seson2019-2020 for the Junior fleets. At 8.30 Sunday we will be welcoming those new to Learn to Sail on Sunday mornings and others will be progressing through the modules on the way to their full ticket. Meanwhile informal fun racing, after the morning lessons at about 1 o'clock , takes place just outside the moorings. It is called the Green Fleet. Those adults who do not want to join the combined fleet are welcome to sail in the Green Fleet, the more the merrier.

07.01.2022 Thanks to DeckHardware for posting these great photos of today’s racing on Pittwater. Huge turnout at our humble club and we we’re excited to see many keen and eager sailors getting after it. Well done to all! Now onto Day 2

03.01.2022 Don’t let this wet weather get you down and be thinking the club isn’t open. Tomorrow we carry on with the 2020 Learn to sail program and given the turn out from last week during the massive East Coast Low storm we endured, I hope we have a just as big a turn out of enthusiastic young sailors ready to hit the high seas in search of adventure... or theory if it’s too wooly out there

01.01.2022 A great Birthday gathering on the deck at BYRA with pre-prandials and a BBQ followed an extraordinary fleet of 10 boats in the Keelboat Round Lion Island Race on Sunday. Peter and Alex Melleuish were first across the line in a very fast time, followed by John Black and a motley crew of BYRA members. Third was one of the smallest boats of the fleet who threw up a multi-coloured cloth on the downwind leg driven by Rob & Mal. Will try and post some photos later.
