20.01.2022 Recently, Qantas regretfully resolved to not renew sponsorship involvement from a long list of high profile sporting teams and events, one of which includes The... Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race. The QCYC acknowledges this decision would not have been made lightly, especially considering Qantas and QantasLink's long and valued partnership with our much treasured and historic Queensland offshore race. The club wishes to extend its gratitude to Qantas and their team members, who have become forever friends of the B2G, for their valued and integral support over the many, many years. After the first-ever cancellation in the races in 72 years, the QCYC is still proudly determined to proceed with the B2G - 2021, but must now reach out to a philanthropic Queensland or Australian business to pick up the baton as Naming Rights Sponsor to ensure the viability and continuance of Queensland's iconic Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race.
