On top of this, we have a Presidential election in November. It will be very interesting to see what rabbits The Donald pulls out of his hat in the next five months to get re-elected. ... 17.01.2022 Baker Brooks specialises in a number of areas, in particular personal insurance. This includes Life, Total and permanent disablement, trauma and income protection. All of these policies are essential to protect you and your family in case of an insurance event. Did you know you can use your super to pay for the majority of your cover? If you do not have any personal insurance cover at the moment or if you would like me to review your current policies please contact me on [email protected].

15.01.2022 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zaaTZkqsaxY This interview with Trump by Australian journalist Jonathan Swan goes for about 40 minutes but well worth a watch.

13.01.2022 My very clever wife has just launched her podcast called "Wellbeing with Pippa". It gives some great tips on how to look after yourself mentally and physically which is even more important given what is happening in the world at the moment. Please subscribe and listen.

10.01.2022 Dear All As we are going through a near lockdown, I thought it would be a good opportunity to go through some of the advice we gave farmers at the worst of the drought. As with the drought, there is not a lot we can do about our current situation. Instead of waiting for rain, we are waiting for a disease to be killed off. As we said to our farmers at the worst of the drought, you must keep busy. Fix fences, service machinery, pick rock and sticks, get your office ready, keep ...in contact with your livestock agent and make sure you are ready to go when the drought does break. All the activity not only helps businesses and individuals ready themselves for when the drought breaks, but it is also good for you mentally to keep busy. Now is a good time to get busy on your own farm! Suggestions include Reviewing personal debt/mortgages If you think you will struggle to meet your mortgage obligations due to lower revenue/income then call your bank. They are very helpful at the moment and will give up to six months relief on mortgage payments. Review Investments and superannuation I am happy to review investments within your super funds and investments accounts. Now is a good time to really delve into what these fund managers invest in, how they do it and what they are doing to get through this period of volatility. Review personal insurances Check that you have adequate insurance in place in case of an insurance event. Policies still available are Life, Total and Permanent disablement, trauma and income protection. Covid 19 is covered with existing policies but there may be exclusions going forward so not a time to be cancelling but certainly at time to be topping up! I have included a link below which shows the benefits the federal government has announced to keep the economy going through this time. If you think you might be eligible for any of these benefits, I am happy to help. In particular interest may be the early access to super. There are conditions that must be met so please call if you are unsure. https://mcusercontent.com//25e7c4dc-4150-4ff8-82b4-dcdbe47 Finally, if you know of anyone that may be able to use our services or would like to talk about any of the above then any referrals would be appreciated. Please call if you have any questions

09.01.2022 Does your super fund invest in Emerging Markets? The continued Westernisation of countries such as China, India and Russia suggest more growth is yet to come. For more information, please contact me on [email protected] https://www.bloomberg.com//ubs-wealth-says-it-s-time-to-be

02.01.2022 https://stevewaugh.com.au/.../exhibition-the-spirit-of... I was lucky enough to be invited to see this exhibition last night at the Playbox Gallery on Oxford Street Paddington. The photos are amazing and really give a good insight into the cricket obsessed nation of India. I highly recommend going for a look and picking up one of Steve's books. Also, have a look at the Steve Waugh Foundation and the great work they do for children with rare illness.
